    Urinating Kitty
My mothers neutered female cat is obese and urinates in the strangest of places.
Kitty is anadorable cat who is on a normal diet. She is 4 years old. Recently she has begun urinating on top of the cooker and in the other cats food bowl and on plants. She also permantly has her tail erect and at times can have a strange smell at her rear end. She does not like a lot of affection. I have wondered whether this is hormonal problems as this problems has happened before. And resolves intermitanly. My mother lives alone with 2 cats and a dog. Kitty has 24 hour access to outdoors and indeed spends a lot of time outdoors. The other male cat can be nervy but has no behavioral problems. No problems with the dog. All animals live very well together. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd go get her checked out she may just have a urine infection, my friend had terrible trouble with one of his girl cats a while back she had taken to pee'ing in the bath and sink and on the door mat it then progressed to pooping too and she had a pee infection because all she would eat was dry food she ended up with a special diet.
Now it could also be something as simple as someone in the neighborhood has a new cat and she feels threatened by its smell and is marking everything.
I wish you luck but id definitely seek proper advice and get the kitty checked out.
