    Small worm bug
My cat has these very small worm like bugs on him what could it be? He was sleeping on my towels and when I removed this one towel there had to have been at least 300 of these bugs and more on him.

Did it look anything like the picture below?

If so it is likely tapeworms, the result of a swallowed flea.
They are easily treated and flea prevention can usually keep them at bay.
300 seems like an awfully high amount to have just noticed suddenly.
So I'm sorry to mention this and I hope I am way off base, but if it is not tapes then maggots are another possibility (sorry)
Tapeworms will die and dry up after being expelled, maggots will not they just tend to crawl away.
Although the maggots will typically stay ON the animal.
A little more about the "worm" would be helpful, or a picture.
Just a note, if your culprits are maggots you will want to get him to the vet sooner rather than later since there is likely a wound or laceration on his body that needs attention.
