I like the books. They're well-written and engaging. Yes, some of the ideas (like sparkling vampires) are a bit odd, but that didn't bother me much. Being a huge fan of fantasy novels, I live in a near-constant state of suspended disbelief.

The movies, on the other hand, are not that great. The acting is passable, but nothing to swoon over. The effects are outdated and a bit obvious. The thing that bothers me the most is that when the vampires sparkle, they look less like the diamonds described in the book and more like an overly-glittered graphic from a teenage girl's myspace.

    Kind of like this one:

    ??

Did you see me under black lights? I do NOT sparkle. I merely glow purple.

BAHAHHA, I meant the movie, lmao, not the sparkley vampire.

How do you accidentally see a movie? Did you wander into the wrong theater at the movies and forget to leave?

    Thanks Rex :D
Actually my friend brought over a "vampire" DVD, we sat down watched it, said well that kind of sucked, and that was it. Didn't think of it again. Accidentally watched a Twilight movie!

I've never read the books, and being in high school you can imagine that I'm probably the only one. I watched a few minutes of the movie, the part where she asks the vamp. How old he is. The acting was horrible(my opinion) and I laughed so hard I had to change the channel.

I do however like shows like Supernatural, and Vampire Diaries, but Twilight is just not for me.

I just can't get into it. I do like fantasy and Horror and what not, but for some reason, hard as I try, I just can't get into it (Twilight, Vampire diaries, etc... ). Honeslty, I think it's because of all the hype.

I'm one of those annoying people, when there is mass hystaria about something, you can't get me farther away from it!

It took me forever to watch LOR and Harry Potter. Read the LOR books when I was younger, but couldn't bring myself to watching the movies, which I ended up loving anyway.

The Twilight books are the ONLY books I've ever read that I wish I could wipe from my memory.

They're also the only books I've thrown across the room for stupidity every 3 pages, and the only books I ever burned when I was done with them.

I usually have SOMETHING good to say about most books. Not those. Stupidest. Books. Ever.

Well I am glad I didn't invest my time in them. I went to Coles to checkout Fforde, they had to order them in for me!

Okay, because I'm such a geek--I'll totally give up the name Synn for the one you want to call spot if you'll call her/him "Zoe".

It's a reference to an online comic my husband and I read called "Sluggy Freelance". Torg (the main character) gave Zoe (who he is in love with) a cursed necklace that turned into a tattoo on her neck. The curse is that a certain word turns her into a camel, and she can't just take the necklace OFF_--it's tattooed onto her.

Got to read from the beginning, or you won't get it.

Prepare to settle in for 13 years worth of comics :P

Oh great, I think I am now into another webcomic. I think it will take me awhile to catch up on this one.

    Funniest comic ever, imo.

I go back and read the chapter called "Kitten: The Evil" on a fairly regular basis.
