1998 Honda Accord (302,000 miles) Dash Lights Flicker
The "all doors/trunk open", "brake", and "battery" warning lights in the dash of my 1998 Honda Accord EX 4 cyl began to flicker this morning. The starter was last replaced in 2008 and the alternator is at least two years old. The main relay was replaced in October 2011. The ignition switch was replaced via Honda recall last year, as well. I had a brand new battery, terminal, and timing belts installed approximately two weeks ago (April 2012). I'm thinking it's time for a new alternator or that there may be some type of shortage in the wiring, but I'm not sure where the short would be located. Any thoughts?

    Thank you in advance.

Andrea81, it sounds like the alternator is bad to me.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Thank you as always!

I had the battery and alternator checked at Auto Zone. Bad alternator. I had it changed and the flickering has stopped. My car is running fine. Thank you.
