    Hey... Could you possibly tell me in detail how to remove the cotter pin and clutch pivot pin ( 2001 Civic Coupe ). I tried Google and couldn't find it.

    I want to try the " Silky Smooth Clutch Action! " HEHEHEH.

    I felt accomplished after bleeding my slave cylinder...

    As you can see, I am car Illiterate. Trying to learn... LoL.

    I hate going to the MECH and getting ripped off. I am also a DIY kind of guy but in this case, I don't know how to do it!

    Thanks in advance for your time. I appreciate it a lot...

    No, you won't find it anywhere else. It's something I came up with, which makes a big difference. Place a good lamp on the passenger's side of the floor, lay on your back on the driver's floor, and use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the cotter pin that goes through the clutch's pivot pin. Grease the pin with synthetic grease, install a NEW cotter pin, and you're done. Perform this procedure about every 75,000 miles.

    Is no news bad news? How is it shifting with the new fluid?

    TxGreaseMonkey, You sir, are a GENIUS MAN!

    You are such an asset to this site... I love your advise!

    I put in the 2 x quarts of the AMSOIL MTF... I waited until it drained and leveled off... Tightened the fill screw and went for a drive.

    My gearbox pressure is FIXED! AHHAHAHA... SHIFT SO SMOOTH! I LOVE IT!

    I have not greased the clutch pivot pin yet, but I will soon.

    Thanks So mUch Tx!! AMSOIL!

    I bet if I wouldof went to the MECH, they wouldof charged me an arm and a leg! I only paid $31.74 SHIPPED for the 2 QTS of AMSOIL... I paid retail because I wanted it ASAP and didn't want to wait for the membership number. I couldof gotten it cheaper because AMSOIL offers a 6 month FREE membership price instead of retail price...

    Still very happy and satisfied! ^_____^;;

    Music to my ears! Nice job--I'm excited for you, especially since you live in cold NY and I know what a difference Amsoil makes in shifting. Every time you shift, I'll be there with you. Thanks for the opportunity to have helped.
