Also checked error codes by jumping two pin plug on ecu and got one long blink and one short blink on the srs light. I looked up error codes online and supposedly this indicates error code 11 which I can't find- all the sites I've seen skip from 10 to 12!

The least common, but nevertheless possible, reason for the CEL staying on is a bad ignition switch. I'm still inclined to believe that the ECM should be the focus of your attention, at this point. These cars will always work, if the CEL goes out. The problem can be that it takes longer and longer, until eventually it doesn't go out at all.

Yes, I'm thinking the same- just thought maybe because of the r/r of the ignition there might be something to look at there. I'll plan for an ecm r/r to be on the safe side for now. Hopefully it will last long enough to get back to work. Any idea on the error code I'm getting? I get one long and one short blink from the SRS light (which has stayed on ever since the ignition was replaced) which from what I've read is a code 11 which I can't find on any of the online error code lists.

I've never heard of a Code 11 on these cars. Is the Code 11 coming from the SRS Light or the CEL? Did you check the ACG (ALT) (S) Fuse, with the multimeter, which is often located in the SRS Block of the under dash fuse box? Be sure to test all fuses in the SRS Block.

Checked the ACG fuse- 12.86 volts on both ends. So far, the car will start after turning the key to the on position and waiting for a few minutes. Once that happens I don't have any problems all day turning it off and then restarting it. Anyway to check the ignition switch? Just trying to narrow the possibilities before I dole out $275 for an ECM. Thanks!

Check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting:

P.S. With a coupon, you can buy an inexpensive digital multimeter (Lot No. 90899) from Harbor Freight for $1.99, regularly $7.99. Thought that might help you out.
