    I second that.

    Also, I have yet to see a dealer register a vehicle in their name, unless it came brand-new... which, once again, is not the OP's situation and is not what she is asking about. Typically, there are multiple spaces on the back of the title so that the vehicle can be sold to a dealer or between dealers without having to register the vehicle every time it changes hands. Dealers, as far as I have seen, are not required to register a vehicle when they buy it/take it as a trade-in.

    Who said anything about car registration ? I said transfer. Your right I got way off track trying help op. She should have had the title by now.

    That doesn't address your postings about the title, about selling the car without having the title. Please quote the law.

    Whether she has the title now or not does not matter. What matters is whether this is legal in any State, including Texas.

    You are dancing around the question by bring up other things, such as whether it was sold "as is." If you've been in the auto business (presumably involved in title transfers as opposed to working in a parts store) and are giving expert advice here, you must know the law in your State.

    Again - please post it.

    Transferring the title into your name = registration.

    Are you sure you've been doing this for 11 years? Because it certainly doesn't seem like it.
