    Victor Hugo
I just finished reading Victor Hugo's "Et Nox Facta Est" and I was wondering if anyone has read it. I reall enjoyed it but I need to pick a main theme to write a paper on for school. Any suggestions? Thanks!

So you read this and cannot figure out the main theme. Why don't you think of some and write them down? Come back and post them. I am sure someone would be glad to help you then - but now it would only be doing your homework.

For a starter - who was the author sympathic with?

If you like Victor Hugo and his poem Et Nox Facta Est which I read and school many years ago, in french, I understand why you don't want to use that as a main theme. May I suggest Victor Hugo's story set and l830s France "The Hunchback of Nortre Dame". which became an instant classic. I won't describe, I leave it to you. If you are studying his genre in school you may already have read this book. You should look him up on google.com. The information is spectacular and will list all of his works.

We don't usually encourage helping with assignments, but Victor Hugo is one of my favourites and could not ignor the post.
