Favorite: Gone with the Wind

This book is a must. Its very different from the movie - I couldn't put it down!

Runner Up: Jude the Obscure
I adore this book - it really makes you think and the ending is quiet surprising.

I like fantacy, and I've only just started to explor my reading ability, but...

First: Harry Potter book 6. (yes yes I know.)
I like to learn about past events that effect now, and this book was very much like that. Also, harry's potions book was super cool.

Second: Children of Hurin. J.R.R. Tolkin
I just liked the character Turin, very well made, and awsome story. Though it does go all over in the beginning.

The stranger by Albert Camus

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand is number one, hands down.

I prefer to read series rather than just stand-alone books, though---so it's hard to narrow down what a runner up would be. I've been spending a lot of time thinking about "Foucault's Pendulum" lately, if that counts.

Current favorite: The Daily Coyote by Shreve Stockton (true story -- NYC woman moves to Wyoming and is given an orphaned coyote pup to raise)
