    There is a story related in three of the four gospels where the religious authorities try to trap Jesus in his words by asking if they should pay taxes to Caesar.

    The Romans were a hated occupying power. If Jesus said yes, he would have lost all his credibility with the common people, and if he answered no, they would turn him over to the Romans for advocating tax avoidance.

    Here is Jesus classic answer, as told by Mark:

    Many times the best answer to a question is another question. The Book of Genesis says God made man in his own image. Jesus reply was more than a novel way to get out of a conundrum, the implied question he was asking was "Whose image is on YOU?"

    I just got fed up today on a thread and this came out of the blue.

    It's the "me first" mindset and it drives me nuts. Just because something makes me happy doesn't mean it is right, moral, or in the best interest of me OR my family/friends/significant other!

    Lol... that's my rant.
