Since I only have 9 days left at my company, I'm trying to write extra articles for the files... just in case they don't hire another writer in the near future to replace me! :) One of the articles I'm writing today is about Thankfulness - its slated for the October/November issue. A few Thankfulness quotes I've run across in my studies:

There you go, HC! Those are definitely cool quotes! :) I especially like the second one. It reminds me, that through the adversities and challenges of life, that there can be a light at the end of the tunnel. And, part of the way that we get to that light, is believing that it is there! Really though... it was time. It was right. C'est le vie. I am honestly and truly able to "smile because it happened." Losing a true, REAL friend is like losing a part of you. That's all. But it was right.

It's a situation that I got myself into - its what brought me to AMHD (and for that I'm glad) - that could have been awful... but in my perpetual-Barbie-girl-optimist way, it avoided its potential landslide capabilities and turned into one of the most amazing friendships I've ever experienced...
But today, I had to say goodbye. I'm truly smiling because it happened, but aching because its gone. But it was right and for the best and nothing can convince me of anything different.
Losing a friend is terribly hard, but when it's the right thing to do, it makes it logical, but doesn't stop the hurt.
