I was kind of thinking of a magnolia, cause he was born in Louisiana.Quote:

A magnolia is love of nature.
A Zinnia represents daily remembrance
Are you sure that it had nothing to do with the fact that up until a week ago, I had a quote in Bosnian in my signature line? ;)Quote:

Maybe a bouquet of remembrance!
This is where I found the Zinnia info... tons of info there actually
Book of Symbols
Have you thought about incorporating his Zodiac symbol - can do wonders with customizing that as well
Good link Tralyn. :)
So perhaps like two or three flowers with separate meanings that represent him?
No, cause neither of us were too into Astrology... It's something fun to read, but we don't/didn't follow it.Quote:

When you have time, this looks very helpful too - lots of info there

BEAUTIFUL!! I love this. You guys are wonderful!! Anyone want to help me look through and help me find another flower... I think maybe just two!
And I LOVE the butterfly idea!!
And the subject of... where??
LOL.. I'm actually all excited about this! : ) I really do agree... Altenwegs butterfly would be so beautiful with flowers.. Awe : ) warm fuzzies
Have you chosen a flower?
My flower is on my upper middle back, covered often, shown in summer. I have a friend that has a memorial tattoo on the front of his shin, also many are on arms.. where are you thinking?
Obviously somewhere that can be easily hidden, as my dress is conservative normally, and business casual at work.
I was thinking in between my soulder blades...
But the sad part is that I won't be able to see it...
I'm thinking yellow zinnia... and something else... HELP!Quote:

I put mine on my ankle because I wanted to see it always.
Funny thing, I read a book once that had a character in it that was a tattoo artist. The question came up about tattoos and placement, is there a hidden meaning there. He said, in his experience, the more a tattoo means to someone the more visible it is to the outside world, usually the visible tattoos represent a loss, fear, something someone has overcome.
Not that it's true, I just found it interesting, thought I'd share.
My next one will be on my left shoulder. How about your shoulder or leg CM?
I was thinking "gratitude" but it's a full bouquet of roses (NOW I know why they are carried by many brides)... But perhaps there is an alternative, single flower with the same representation.
ICK, no, too daring of a place... for me, at least.Quote:
