This kid at my school died of cancer barely knew him but I'm very terribly sad?
This kid who was a year younger than me died from Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. (Cancer). He was so young. I barely knew him. I went to elementary with him and some of intermediate school. I'm just so sad. When I see pictures of him, I cry and get teary. It is just so sad. I have been through a lot of deaths but I just can't cope with death. Is it better that he is no longer suffering? Is he REALLY in a better place now?

Whether he's in a better place depends on your religious beliefs.
Has his suffering stopped? Yes, but that also depends on your religious beliefs.
No one finds death easy to cope with.

I have deleted the YouTube link I am not sure the family of the minor would want this broadcasted out to the world
Is he in a better place, if you believe he will come back in a new boy or spirit, then he may go up or down in his caste of life. If you don't believe in God, then he is just dead, there is nothing.
If you believe as Christians do, he is waiting judgement in a sleep to awake when the trumpet sounds. ( better place)
Death is hard to deal with, and when we first do often do not know how to cope, is there a couselor or someone you can talk to

I also suspect there are other problems in OP's life - she barely knew him but is in a sad spiral over his death to the extent of posting YouTube links. This sounds like the event that triggered underlying emotions.

Now that you've posted this I'm more positive than ever that you need to speak to a counsellor. Depression and anger over the death of someone you ADMIT you "barely" knew is not normal behavior.
You need to address your issues, whatever they are.

Sounds like a lot is going on in your life. Weird? No, not at all. You should see the people who post here - I've seen REAL weirdness! We had a guy one time who wanted to know where it is legal to marry his dog. Yes, that's about as weird as it gets.
In fact, you express yourself very well. I'm a frustrated writer and I really respect that.
Sounds like this young man's death has opened up some old wounds or hurts or losses for you - care to share? I had a big loss in my life and sometimes when I'm terribly sad I have to realize that whatever just happened is flashing back to when I had the loss.
And as far as the website - yesterday I researched for over 15 minutes on two separate occasions, hit "submit" - and was staring at a blank screen. My responses have never been seen again. Well, at least it's also happening to you and I know it's not just me!
Anyway - if you want to share, I'm here. I'm working so I'm on and off but I'll be back.

JudyKayTee, thank you for this wonderful answer. It was by far the best. To be honest, I dislike most of them.

Any time there's anything you want to share please feel free to do so -
What don't you like about other answers, mine or other people's, whichever ones you don't like. I can't speak for other people but we get people who ask questions only to argue (don't want to hear the truth, don't want anyone's opinion, just want to be validated) and after a while I specifically figure that everyone who comes on is here for the fight. I get short with people and so do other people who answer.
At any rate - any time you feel like sharing, fire away!

When I was in High School, we lost 2 people in my grade. One I knew fairly well and the other was just someone I attended a class with. Sadly, one was suicide but even sadder, the one I knew fairly well drowned in a bath tub. She had a seizure while taking a bath, hit her head, and that was it.
It was very tough to deal with this only weeks apart from each other. At such an early age, you never expect anyone to die and when it happens, it seems that your world is no longer as safe or even the same as you thought it was. I didn't realize it then but now, years later, that is what goes through my mind. Their deaths not only saddened me, but scared me a little as well... simply because people at such a young age are not supposed to be able to die. My world was different.
I think I understand some of what you are going through and I sympathize with you for having to face this. Stay strong, you will get through it.
Good luck to you.

I wish Dani would come back - a pleasure to answer someone who can express herself so well.
Hopefully she will -
Out of greenies but great advice and insight!
