    What is the SZL I found on an etching?

    Initials, most likely.

    If you don't believe me...
    What does SZL stand for?

    None of them would belong on an etching, but the artist's initials would, if he didn't want to sign his full name.

I found an etching by Paul Emile Lecomte issued by the Paris Etching Society entitled "The Stream" and number 109 SLZ. I am not familiar with Etchings but I would assume that they are similar to limited editions. Is this of any value? Thank you
