I need help identifying the artist signature on this painting. This was my husband's Grandmothers favorite painting, which we now have. If you have any info on the "conquistador" looking fellow in the painting, please let me know. The signature looks like J. Brade to me. The only name that even comes close on Google is James Brade Sword. Could this be a painting by him? Any help is appreciated.

The last name looks like Brade but I can't figure out the first initial.

I wish artists would sign their names so other people could read them.

Have you checked the back of the painting? Often times an artist will write their name on the back and the date that they painted the piece.

The first initial is "J"... The last name is Brade. A friend of mine has a similar painting by the same artist. I have also tried to find out more info about this artist but can't seem to come up with anything. If you find out anything please pass it on. It would greatly be appreciated.
