Thank you for posting this, Jess! :p

So, since you are trying to imitate the style of Michelangelo, are you also trying to give this painting more of a three-dimensional as opposed to a two-dimensional look?

    I have to agree. It is m-o-v-i-n-g r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w-l-y r-i-g-h-t n-o-w.

Well I'd like it to look just like his but... I'm no where close... I'm not all that good with shading and am having trouble with the woman and the babis skin as well as the woman's blanket. Also I'm having trouble with the sky. I haven't really worked on the background cause I want to get the people done. Her shirt is the only part of this whole painting I'm really happy with! I'm just glad that I am finally getting somewhere with their skin... I've spent so many class periods on their skin!! As for the sky... I just don't know quite how to do it... I'm mostly for bright colors... so the sky is hard for me to do. Here's a picture of Michelangelo's original "Small Cowper Madonna"

No. And, I hope that it doesn't for at least a number of more days! I still have lots of yard work to do in preparation for my parties!

Thought I'd better post something since I haven't in awhile. Still haven't posted all of the images that I would like to post here.

These kind of go along with the refinishing pictures that I have posted previously on this thread. A couple of statues that were broken and also in many pieces. I think that they are supposed to be W. A. Mozart and his wife, Constance. They kind of "broke up" with each other. But, I got them "back together," again! :p

WOW! Sort of like Humpty Dumpty! You must have the patience of Job to have put that all back together again. Great job! Thanks for posting. Also enjoyed seeing the piano! ;)
Well, I keep saying I am on my way to bed so better keep my word to myself this time, early morning coming soon! Post more Craig! I really enjoyed seeing Mr. and Mrs. Mozart "getting back together" again! :p

    Good night and sweet dreams!

Good to see you posting again FB! Have really missed you! I just finished a pencil drawing but am fine tuning. Will post later. I did a photo progress of it but can't download from camera for some reason. Maybe later. I will take it to get it scanned, then have Giclee prints made, and then take it to the lady who commissioned it. I will post it here and on my web site later. I hope you will post some of your art work soon!

FB should get some kind of award, like thread starter of the year or sumting, not just for starting this thread, but also for being just an awesome person.
Biwiccan, that looks so awesome, can't wait till its finished :)
templelane! I'm scared! I'm afraid your going to come floating through the wall and wailing at us!
Lol, kidding, good to see you posting :)
So relieved that skewl is over for the year :)
Biwiccan, is the dance like one of those formal/prom things?
I never went to any of those, I always gave them a miss because id rather sit at home alone than sit at a table watching people dance lolz
But next year (yr 12) I have to go, my friends won't let me stay home this time lolz.

Not to worry, Sean! When I was in high school, I never went to a single high school dance! Just wasn't my style...

    Hi all,

The thread seemed to have slowed down a bit, must be because everyone is busy with life itself.

I am just popping in to say Hi, I am off again for a bit...

Wishing you all artists, inspirational thoughts... :)

    See you in a while.

Yes! (Or could be... ;) Depends on how we might compose the lyrics in order to fit the rhythm of the original song on which it would be based.)
