Hey, Sean! Welcome back! :D You have been missed and we have been worried about you since we hadn't seen you in a while! :)

Awesome stuff, here! Thanks for posting these images! I too, would like to know how tall that it is? Where is Union Street?

I call it 13# Union Street

Sean! I am so glad you are back! We have all missed your posts. "#13 Union Street" is so unique. Explain again the process?? When you explained it earlier, I just never was able to get the process in my head. I thought you were working from one big block but feel I misunderstood!! Thank you for posting. I bet you had a lot of fun with this piece. Was that painted with Acrylic paints?

Good to see you back! Keep posting! :p

Here are two fall wreaths that I made. They've been tucked away in a bag in the basement for awhile, so a little 'scrunched' up. I just photographed them as they were. I would fluff them up a bit before using them again.

Grrrrrr... for some reason I am having a difficult time posting pictures these days. I am sure I am doing it correctly!

Hiya, Jan! Have been looking for you. Hope all is well, SS.

Didi, those wreaths are so cute. I sort of feel like the little guy in the second one, just not as cute. LOL

How did you attach everything? Glue, pins, etc.

Do you use these just for your home or do you sell them? They are as good as I have seen in any store. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks, Jan. I use a glue gun for almost everything I do. I had glued chestnuts to these wreaths, but the skins shrivel up with the glue and they fall off so I removed them all. I just made these for my house... and I used a photo of one to make a really cute webset for a webpage I did about fall in Canada. It was the first time that I used straw wreaths for anything. Usually I use grapevine wreaths. I was going to make more to sell. I have more of the little witches and scarecrows. The leaves, rafia and hats are easy to get. The strawflowers came from my garden. I probably have rafia here too. I still have a room full of crafts & supplies packed in boxes and large plastic containers in the basement... I'd bet about $2000 to $3000 worth of materials.

    Thank you for your compliment.

    Hugs, Didi

    Aaaww cute wreaths
Union street is a drawing I posted earlier, one of the ones I did in artline
The sculpture is based of one of the structures portrayed in that drawing.
I assembled 13# Union Street from components I made by hot wire cutting up pieces of polystyrene foam, which I then painted white, and drew all those lines and stuff on them with thick artline permanent markers, and I then used a hot glue gun to put it all together (I accidentally stuck my finger into hot glue in the process! Owies :s) but the pain didn't really bother me (masochist tendencies actually do have their uses sometimes) so I kept working lolz.
Ummm its about this tall of the table *holds hand above table to demonstrate height* hehe :p
Didi, those wreaths are sooo cute!
And firmbeliever, thanks for msn messaging me lolz its great to talk to great people.
Hoping to see more wonderful art too :)
And clough, can you like, record yourself playing piano, and post it or send it to us? Thatd be soooo cool :)

Glue gun, huh?? Have to laugh since you know my motto is "If you can glue it, I can do it!" LOL I didn't realize that about chestnuts. Good to know. I know what you mean about having a room full of supplies and finished and half-finished pieces. I just went through quite a bit of it and am giving it to my niece. She has a little booth she keeps items in... not quite sure what it is. I have not seen it but she says garage sell items go better at that location than crafts but one can always allow the children to paint wooden pieces for teachers gifts, etc. so hopefuly, she can benefit from the items. I do not like to waste.

You deserve the compliment! I hope you have a "Happy Thanksgiving"!

    Hi, Didi!

The weather held out while I was doing the project on the foundation. However, a few hours after I had worked on it, it started to rain a lot. I hope that everything is okay.

Hugs to you, Didi from Craig!

It sure has gotten quiet on this thread in recent days. Hopefully, things will pick up again here soon! :)

If anyone has some examples of your art that you would like to share here, please do so!

I am in the process of doing a new drawing. I thought I would take photos of it in stages. So... tried to download some photos yesterday and couldn't. Thought it was my camera or cable but tried scanning something today and the scanner wouldn't work... oh well... tomorrow is another day and if tomorrow never comes, it won't matter anyway! LOL

It was a good plan anyway while it lasted.

Hope we do see more new art posted soon!

    Hehe
Well, I think I may have JUST passed my maths exam (I hope)
Human bio was pretty easy, and for art, I finished an hour early, and spent my whole extra hour sharpening a pencil (I sharpened it all the way down to that little black bit and the back end of it)
I reckon I did pretty good in the art one though, I always do, just I work quickly and finish quickly lol.
My parents just refused me permission to spray paint the xmas tree black :(
Had the kewlest idea, I reckon the xmas tree would look so cool if I spray painted it black, put red tinsel on it, but red and black bulbs on the lights, and then hang like little skull and razor decorations on it... okay, so maybe not exactly the most joyous and xmasy sounding thing, but itd look so awesome! And then I could like get candles all around the room and light them, and coud have like a goth looking angel on top...
Meh, next year I'm going to buy my own tree and do that :) it'll look soooo awesome!

I think that black for a Christmas tree would be cool! I get so tired of decorations and lights being so red, green and WHITE around Christmas!

So, what's the deal with skull and razor decorations for the tree, Sean? What are you thinking of? By the way, I may not appear to be online right now, but I am.

Hmmm? I just kind of like razors lol. And theyd fit the theme of the tree as well as the little skull things and stuff. Be kind of like a halloween tree or sumting lolz.

So, why would the skulls and razors fit the theme of the tree? I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Black + red, its like, a gothic tree or something (id use the term "emo" if I didn't hate that word) and the other stuff fit with that lolz.
