Maybe so... But, I do like to do things with others. I do realize that might not be entirely possible on this thread because we are on at such different times.

Yes, I get it and also like it a lot! Sounds like it could be on one of the inside verses after the initial question as to where they have gone and where they are now. But, it could also work in the beginning stanza.

(Gotta go! Sent you an email.)

As far as me, I have been playing gigs on piano with the Johnnie Kaye Orchestra. The Quad City Wind Ensemble, where I play string bass and percussion, is on a break until after the first of the year.

Just tonight though, when I was cleaning up my home some for a new piano student that I will be starting today, I found enough spring steel to make the notes for at least four or five thumb pianos! I think that jrebel7 will be excited about that! I didn't know that I had any extra spring steel outside of what I have already put on the thumb pianos that I have made.

I'm glad that you are Jan! I am too! What this means is that I already have enough of the parts that I need for thumb pianos in order to make at least four or five of them the way that I usually make them. Maybe even more. Don't know... But, I do know that I'm set to make at least that many right now! I'm glad that I did find some of the blued, tempered spring steel. In order to purchase it, I know that the last time I ordered a roll of it, that the cost was close to $90.00! That was enough spring steel for about 250 thumb pianos with 12 notes each.

Thumb Pianos are so unique and make great conversation pieces. Would love for you to post some photos of your Thumb Pianos. I am hoping to see more art posted on this thread soon!

Cal, just because you are out of art class right now, doesn't mean we don't want to see more of your creations. Please don't make us wait until you start classes again!! :) Ok??

    Anyway, how are you all?
Christmas soon! (tho it seems more pointless and hollow every year :() but oh well, I get to give stuff and I get to receive nice stuff and I guess without it skewl would continue all the way through into January through December with no pause.

    Hi Jan,

Here a few... sorry I couldn't get all of them on here. Not enough time and the photos did not turn out as well as I had hoped.

The "thank you" card was done sometime ago,the others were done this past week.:)

These were done by felt pens. The shine is from silver colour used.

Hey FB!! I was so happy to see your cards. They are gorgeous. What is interesting to me about your work is that the design, while coming across to the viewer as soft and pleasant to view, the detail is much more intricate than first meets the eye. I viewed them once, saw the colors, pattern, lettering, etc. and thought, "How amazing to do such beautiful work for someone to receive as a card" then really began looking at how much detail was there. I loved them. Thanks so much for posting and sharing! More please as soon as you have time. :p

    Thank you Start,
The border you liked was the first card I made in this new batch.I liked how that one turned out.
I am enjoying this new burst of inspiration.:)

    Thank you Jan,
The red cards are folded twice, it has one fold of paper over the other. The side border design is actually on the fold under the first fold.
I couldn't attach a picture of the cards open, something's the matter with my net and the Desk does not load as fast as it used to.
It is similar to how a brochure is folded.

I hope to see more of everyone's art soon.:)

Yeah, to go a step further... 3d maybe put cuts in some and let the light shine through.. or like on the adriondack style where they use dark paper inside the shade and the image shines through when the light is on... very cute... I'll take a few.

Biwiccan, those are so beautiful. I would love to walk my dogs there... that stone on the building I would rub my hands across it... We have a church in my area that I go and walk, that picture reminds me of that. Yes, you captured the beauty.

Since most people on here enjoy photography, I want to list this site of a young artist that has taken in an abandoned baby coyote. I think most of you will enjoy it.The Daily Coyote I go every day to watch him grow and see the new pic's that she has added. Enjoy!

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's been forever since I did photography, I'm surprised they turned out so good. I took more but those are some of my faves. I didn't even notice the squirrel till after I took the pic. He showed up right when I snapped the picture, I think his home must have been in the tree somewhere.
