So, are you now getting into things that are "goth" in style?
Maybe a little
Id like to, but parents... friends... they would prob discourage it.
Are you moved towards that style because of the art in it, or because of something else?
Ummm... why do we need to discuss this all now?
We don't have to.
Hmmm... I guess we can discuss it tomorrow, if you feel we need too, but rite now its 11 pm so I need to get some sleep lolz
Hoping to see more art in the morning.
We can, if you would like. It's all up to you. I know that I would like to because I and also we care about you and what you do. :)
You can buy black Christmas trees they were really popular here last year. It would save gassing yourself with spray paint. Personally I think I'd rather stick to green seeing the ones that were about.
Anywhos have I missed any good pics? Been sooo busy haven't looked on here at all.
There have been lots of good pics on these pages. Might be worth your while to sift through the bunch! Thanks for stopping by! :)
I do know that more pictures will be coming!
I really liked Didi's chrismas decorations, might try and do something like that myself when I go home. I usually look through these pages often but I rarely post, oh dear makes me sound a bit creepy...
*strange voice* I'm watching you, you and your art...
Oh yeah and Sean's piece was really good as well, very Picasso/ Mondrian.
Sean, so glad to see you back on the thread! Glad exams went well. I had to smile when I read that you finished an hour early on your art exams. Just reaffirms your enthusiasm for art.Quote:

I guess growing up with it, I never thought it strange or different from ours, it was just a great Christmas tree that was constant. You wouldn't remember the older ornaments, much more detailed than the ones now. I barely do but wish I had at least one to place on our tree for the memories. You might consider just cutting down a small tree after all the leaves have fallen, spray paint it black and maybe your parents would allow you to have it in your room and enjoy your creativity without it infringing on their traditional tree.
I got to say, it does sound cool. I like the idea of the red tinsel and bulbs. Can you visualize a little tree, about five feet tall, just the limbs, no pine needles, (oak maybe, not sure what daddy used) but was not a pine tree at all), spray painted black in your room, with the red? I would love to see it.
I would however not want the skulls and razors. Just doesn't represent to me what Christmas is all about but I do love your originality of your idea. Quite creative. If you do this project, please post a picture but I would like to see it without the scary stuff! LOL Okie Dokie??
I would really like to see Firmy come back and post here! I miss her very much!
Her words, her art, and all the rest of her! Hugs to all you sweet people!
hey guys! Jess is back what's up? ^.^
Welcome back, Jess! We have missed you! Been busy with school?? Do you have any new art to post?Quote:

lol I wish I did! I'm glad I've been missed though ^.^. My renassance painting is almost done and when it is I will show it to you guys. I finally got art supplies so I've been painting at home but the painting I'm doing at home is not turning out as I envisioned. As soon as I fix it I will show it to you. It's not like my other work, it's more cartoony. And you school and my boyfriend have been keeping me busy ^.~, I'm trying to get one of my grades up so that I can go to a dance that is on the 1st of December.
Hello, Jess!
What do you mean by Renaissance?
I'm doing a recreation of a painting done in the renaissance period in renaissance style. Everyone was supposed to do the Mona Lisa but we could do another painting if we wanted to. I'm doing "Small Cowper Madonna" by Michelangalo. Here's what it looks like so far... not a very good picture though... I took it with my cell phone and sent it to my computer.Attachment 5380
Jess, the site is moving slow. I posted an answer a few minutes ago but not sure it posted. Just want you to know it is great seeing your work posted. Love your use of colors. I have been working in black and white for awhile and have some projects in my mind to do in color. I am working on a black and white commission piece now but after that... LOOK OUT COLOR... here I come! :pQuote:

So, since you are trying to imitate the style of Michelangelo, are you also trying to give this painting more of a three-dimensional as opposed to a two-dimensional look?
I have to agree. It is m-o-v-i-n-g r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w-l-y r-i-g-h-t n-o-w.
Hi Craig! Is it snowing where you live?
Well I'd like it to look just like his but... I'm no where close... I'm not all that good with shading and am having trouble with the woman and the babis skin as well as the woman's blanket. Also I'm having trouble with the sky. I haven't really worked on the background cause I want to get the people done. Her shirt is the only part of this whole painting I'm really happy with! I'm just glad that I am finally getting somewhere with their skin... I've spent so many class periods on their skin!! As for the sky... I just don't know quite how to do it... I'm mostly for bright colors... so the sky is hard for me to do. Here's a picture of Michelangelo's original "Small Cowper Madonna"

Hey FirmBeliever, we are at 1300 postings on this fun thread! Hope to see you back on soon!
No. And, I hope that it doesn't for at least a number of more days! I still have lots of yard work to do in preparation for my parties!Quote:

I wish it would snow here T.T
Thought I'd better post something since I haven't in awhile. Still haven't posted all of the images that I would like to post here.
These kind of go along with the refinishing pictures that I have posted previously on this thread. A couple of statues that were broken and also in many pieces. I think that they are supposed to be W. A. Mozart and his wife, Constance. They kind of "broke up" with each other. But, I got them "back together," again! :p

WOW! Sort of like Humpty Dumpty! You must have the patience of Job to have put that all back together again. Great job! Thanks for posting. Also enjoyed seeing the piano! ;)Quote:

templelane,
Are you doing a haunting in the Art thread?
She glides and hovers and rests not until she finds what she is looking for...
Hey Jess,Clough,GranmaDidi,Erica and all others who are here..
See you all in a bit.
Good to see you posting again FB! Have really missed you! I just finished a pencil drawing but am fine tuning. Will post later. I did a photo progress of it but can't download from camera for some reason. Maybe later. I will take it to get it scanned, then have Giclee prints made, and then take it to the lady who commissioned it. I will post it here and on my web site later. I hope you will post some of your art work soon!Quote:

Biwiccan, that looks so awesome, can't wait till its finished :)
templelane! I'm scared! I'm afraid your going to come floating through the wall and wailing at us!
Lol, kidding, good to see you posting :)
So relieved that skewl is over for the year :)
Biwiccan, is the dance like one of those formal/prom things?
I never went to any of those, I always gave them a miss because id rather sit at home alone than sit at a table watching people dance lolz
But next year (yr 12) I have to go, my friends won't let me stay home this time lolz.
Not to worry, Sean! When I was in high school, I never went to a single high school dance! Just wasn't my style...Quote:

Hi all,
The thread seemed to have slowed down a bit, must be because everyone is busy with life itself.
I am just popping in to say Hi, I am off again for a bit...
Wishing you all artists, inspirational thoughts... :)
See you in a while.
heya fb!
a wonderful RWARR! To you and all the others

Hi, Sean! That's a question that I have too! :)Quote:

Yes! (Or could be... ;) Depends on how we might compose the lyrics in order to fit the rhythm of the original song on which it would be based.)Quote:
