Have warm water coming from the hose outside
I don't know how or when it happened but I have warm water coming from the hose outside. At first I thought it was the hose being in the sun but the water never ran cold. I know that this just doesn't happen. I got a new hot water tank about 3 yrs. Ago and it didn't do it then so some happened and I don't know what. I don't have to worry until next for I have a pool (its closed now ) but I got to find out before next spring. I don't want to put warm water in the pool. That's my gas bill that I'm worried about . I need some help. Please

That could have only happened by disconnecting the pipe that feeds the outside from the cold, and reconnecting to a hot line. I have trouble imagining how it happened. Check your water lines the best you can. Some of them may not be very assessable. Take a good look at things near the hot water heater. The line will have to be disconnected where ever it connects to the hot line, that capped, and teed into the cold water someplace.

Labman's correct in his assessment of your problem. You're going to have to track that hose bib line back to the hot water feed that it's connected too.
Even if you can't see but just feel the pipes one will be warmer then the other. Then simply follow Labmans directions and tie the line back into a cold water feed. Good luck, Tom
