GE refrigerator door water dispenser frozen
What do I do about my GE refrigerator water dispenser which no longer works? Was told it is frozen.

Had the same problem with mine. Had something to do with the insulation in the door. Luckily I had a service contract and they replaced the freezer door. I know this doesn't help you situation but it may be a manufacturing problem at GE. Wouldn't hurt to contact them.

There was a class action suit about that problem which may be expired by now. The way I fixed many of these refrigerators was to carefully take the door apart having laid it on a table in the sun. I let it dry out completely and filled any gaps in insulation with spray foam, then I put GE Clear Silicone Caulk around the edges where the two parts mate together to make it airtight and screwed it back together. You have to do it perfectly and have zero air leaks. This cured the problem. GE had to replace many refrigerators because they did not use GE Clear Silicone Caulk on the doors which ironically, they make.
