Jun 3, 2007, 05:28 AM
Nah. Managed to take the dogs out in between the storms that hit. Thankfully didn't lose the power which happens at times. But, it always wreaks havoc with the Internet connection.
Now I am just dealing with the massive attack of the mosquitos and the threat of more storms. We are having the fallout of those tropical storms that have moved up the coast. So, very overcast & dreary today with more storms to come. I am sittin' around in my bunny slippers drinking my coffee.
How was surgery? Did you get confused with the lasagna and the dog?
RubyPitbull
Jun 3, 2007, 05:28 AM

RubyPitbull
Jun 3, 2007, 05:53 AM
Doc Crusty, so now you don't like the ladies?
CBW was suggesting it so that people know you are really a veterinarian. Frankly, I think that was where we had a problem before. Anyone can just post and claim they are something they aren't. Since no one had seen you before, when you first showed up, they thought you were an average Joe schmo. Now we know you are an above average Joe schmo.

CHICAGO - Trendy wheeled sneakers that let kids zip down sidewalks, across playgrounds and through mall crowds could also send them rolling into emergency rooms on a stretcher, say doctors who blame a rash of injuries on the international craze.
It's called “heeling,” named after Heelys, the most popular brand. They're sold in 70 countries and are so hot that their Carrollton, Texas, maker, Heelys Inc., recently landed atop BusinessWeek's annual list of fastest growing companies.
J, give me the Heelys. Now! If you can't wear the helmet the doctor gave you then you can't keep the Heelys.

It's not too late to stop. Many women take things early on before they know they are pregnant, just stop now and things will be fine.
This could also explain you being late? Stimulants can cause this.

I recently did a charity event that gave prom dresses to those senior students who needed them (or could not afford to go to the prom). One of the girls I helped had 3 dollars on her, and it had to last another 6 days, OK not unusual for a teenager to waste there money... except. The rest of her story goes like this. She is the oldest of 5 kids, mom is rarely around, she does not know who her dad is. She works full time, goes to school full time, and just got a scholarship for the 2 plus 2 education program at a local university. So pretty much this 17 year old is a mom. A student, and a teenager all in one... I wanted to cry...

But are you raising 4 children that are not your own?
That is what blows my mind... many teenagers today would have said "the hell with them" and moved on with their lives, she is staying and even though she has a full ride to college, will continue to live at home and support her siblings because her mom won't. We exchanged e-mails and I have talked to her on and off since that day. She amazes me...
And I have to give you a lot of credit. I was WAY to self centered at 17 to be married let alone to have a child... Now I am thirty and still wonder if I am ready to be a mom.
