I have abrand new Kenmore 600, electric dryer. I have a problem with the dryer. The first I used it, it was fine.Then after a few days when I tried to push the switch it turns on but when I remove my finger from the switch, it turns off.

I have abrand new Kenmore 600, electric dryer. I have a problem with the dryer. The first I used it, it was fine.Then after a few days when I tried to push the switch it turns on but when i remove my finger from the switch, it turns off.

Depending what model you have, it could be a bad start relay, possibly a bad motor start switch, I've seen broken wires leading to the motor, and even bad motors themselves.
This is NOT an easy problem to diagnose in many cases. Sorry!

Try band hold the button down longer and see if that fixes the problem ! Possibly a bad start buuton switch easy fix ! Good luck bernie
