True conservatives should raise their eyebrows .

He held a rally yesterday in Ashville North Carolina. There he promised the world .

We've already noted his promise to end income taxes on tips . Kam the Sham thought it such a good idea she stole it. It is in fact a terrible idea that has a price tag of $250 billion/year that the government would have to make up

For us geezers he promised to end taxes on Social Security . Now in principle I semi-agree with that . In theory SS is funded with payroll withholdings that are ALREADY taxed. SS taxes represent a double taxation.
However SS is a Ponzi scheme that has a price tag ;and it has a definite solvency issue . The cost of no taxes on SS represents a price tag of $150 billion /year .

He promised to extend the tax cuts he initiated in his first term past their 2025 expiration. That's $4 trillion over a decade .

I'd be on board for all of this if there were proposals for debt reduction. But both sides are silent on any proposals for deficit and debt reductions .

Kam the Sham will be in NC tomorrow where she will make promises that won't be kept. She will promise to lower the costs of health care, housing and food prices ;and she will make the corporate gougers and billionaires pay for it all . There ..... now you don't have to listen .

In another move to the left in an attempt to get support ;Trump is now making a promise for an Invitro fertilization (IVF) entitlement .

“I’m announcing today in a major statement that under the Trump Administration your government will pay for—or your insurance company will be mandated to pay for—all costs associated with IVF treatment”
"We will also allow new parents to deduct major newborn expenses from their taxes, so that parents that have a beautiful baby will be able, so we're pro-family," he added, raising questions about practicability.

Trump's push for free IVF may attract suburban women, but questions about covering cost - ABC News (go.com) (https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trumps-push-free-ivf-attract-suburban-women-questions/story?id=113276162)

Look at ABC being concerned about the cost of medical freebees !!

Trump can try but I don't think he can out lib a lib.

You see this is how Obamacare works .It offers preferred benefits and the cost is covered by higher premiums for everyone else.
And like Vance he is now trying to out lib the libs on child care credits.
Trump says he wants to drain the swamp and yet he continues to propose non-conservative policies that would give greater power to the swamp. Fiscal conservatism is dead in the Republican party.

This is what happens when the electorate has become rather dull and cannot connect A with B. Many women are going to vote for Harris for no other reason than that she will help them reclaim the "right" to have their unborn children killed. They are unconcerned that A is going to lead to B. We are sinking to lower and lower levels.

The only part of your post I question is your tax receipts for tips. 250 bil seems crazy high to me. That would mean that total tip income would be something on the order of 2 trillion dollars. I think it's more likely that tips nationally total around 250 bil, so the tax lost from that would be a great deal lower. Still, your point is quite valid. If I'm going to take a cut in income, then I know I have to cut spending somewhere. As I've said before, it was a great day in the life of corrupt pols (which seems to be most of them) when they discovered that the American people have become so stupid that they will not hold the government responsible for over spending. "There is no free lunch."

Trump is still trying to out Dem a Dem . He and Kam the Sham are trying to win votes with promises of freebees
Kam wants the almost bankrupt Medicare to include home heath care entitlements .
Harris proposes Medicare pay for home health care for first time | CNN Politics (https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/08/politics/harris-home-health-care-medicare-proposal/index.html)

So Trump says I'll beat that ....I'll make car loan interest deductible .
Trump promises new tax relief for car loan interest and citizens living abroad | CNN Politics (https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/10/politics/donald-trump-tax-relief/index.html)

He has also proposed tax exemption for overtime pay; for Social Security payouts. So the deduction for the car loans would be chump change in comparison.

Maybe it is good election strategery to promise the moon. But it is not conservative. The saying 'not a dime's worth of difference ' is now in the $ trillions '
