The morning of Sept 1 ,1859 . Brit astronomer Richard Carrington had his telescope pointed at the sun. Suddenly “two patches of intensely bright and white light” erupted from sunspots. 5 minutes later they disappeared .
That night the whole electronic communications system was disrupted .
there were reports of sparks showering from telegraph machines, shocking operators and setting papers ablaze. All over the planet, colorful auroras illuminated the nighttime skies, glowing so brightly that birds began to chirp and laborers started their daily chores, believing the sun had begun rising. Some thought the end of the world was at hand

Sunday March 12 ,2023 the world dodged a bullet . A massive solar flare erupted much larger than the one Carrington observed . The good news is that it erupted on the other side of the sun. Still it was so large that the earth felt the explosion.
Even though the CME erupted from the opposite side of the Sun, its impacts were felt at Earth. As CMEs blast through space, they create a shockwave that can accelerate particles along the CME’s path to incredible speeds, much the way surfers are pushed along by an incoming ocean wave. Known as solar energetic particles, or SEPs, these speedy particles can make the 93-million-mile journey from the Sun to Earth in around 30 minutes.

If the earth had borne the full brunt of the blast, it's likely that all operating electrical systems would have been immediately destroyed, the same as the telegraph systems in 1859.
The world would've been thrust back into the pre-industrial revolution days.
Apparently our governments and the compliant press do not want us to be aware about how close we came to being thrust into a Dark Age. The whole human operating system depends on electronics . The difference between where we are and the fate of the dinosaurs was the rotation of the sun (27 days to complete a rotation ).
Are we out of the woods ? Maybe .
