Guys - I've got a Hampton Bay fan with light and remote in my bedroom. One night while watching TV and getting ready to fall asleep the light - on its own - went dim, then bright again and dim again and stayed dim. It is not out, just dim. I changed the bulbs and it didn't help... didn't expect it to, but you can hope, right? A buddy of mine who has done some electrical contracting suggested it may be a problem with the switch in the light of the fan. Have you seen this or do you have a suggestion? :o

Also, where would the switch be?

First, have you tried the dim function on the remote, to see if you can get the lights bright again?

Previously, did you remote turn the light on and off?

If it did, then I would suspect the light module which is controlled by the a signal sent from
From the fan control module which responds to your remote controller. The problem
Is I don't know where you can buy the light module.

Wow - it would be easy to just never come back here! ;-) That was the problem! It had been so long since I had dimmed the lights that I forgot that they did dim. Thanks so much! I forgot the first rule of troubleshooting - try the obvious stuff first.
