I have always had irregular cycles-ovulations all of my pregnancys I tested negative and when I finally tested positive MDs would tell me I was 4 weeks when I was 7 or 8. I feel like I have baby fever and I am being emotional but my intuition tells me I am not. I am trying to force myself to not get attached.. or hopes up. I had been having regular cycles end of 2013 with 27-29 days. Then in feb into March I went to 30- My Period was on the 5th. I have my period a full 7 days sometimes 5 but last few months 7days. On March 23-tech 24 I had sex. A week later on March 30th I got end of period dark blood spotting for three days but was barely there. I chalked it up to an early period of 25days cycle? April 5th my breast got big painful cm started and hasn't stopped my aerolas are dark and dizzy headaches avoiding coffe at times.. werid dreams everything in me screams I am. Because I was on werid meds my md gave me hcg slips for the 8th of April and 16th/ First was <1 and second was less then 1.5 19th I took an at home ghetto test pos but realized it was expired. 22nd I got a positive but a very light line showed up Farley quickly! I tested next am negative and tested 25th negative. I guess my period would be due tomorrow? I am not even sure.. But I feel pregnant and this has happened before.. not sure what to do think or feel!!

Your boobs don't begine to have visible changes from pregnancy until into the second trimester. Meaning about 4 months. They normaly vary like you describe with your monthy homone swings. Particularly right before a period. If your period is due tomorrow... wait and see if it comes... if it doesn't in the two weeks. Then test... false negatives are common before that amount of time has passed.

Actually breast changes can and do happen in the first trimester. Smoothy is wrong that it doesn't start until the second trimester.

But breast changes can also happen with PMS. Changes in your breast are not a way to diagnose pregnancy. There are other things that these changes can be attributed to.

False negatives are very common. False positives aren't. You've gotten 2 positive results. I wouldn't count the first one though, since the test was expired. But the second, if you used the test correctly, and the test wasn't expired, cannot be discounted.

I would wait and see what happens with your period. If you miss it, wait 2 weeks, then test using first morning urine. Make sure to follow the test to the letter. If that test is positive, congrats. If it's negative, wait for your next period and if you miss it, get a blood test done.

In the meantime, start taking prenatal vitamins. If you're not pregnant they won't harm you, but if you are, they can make all the difference in the health of your baby.
