Hello:

People like Sarah Palin, (http://www.mediaite.com/online/sarah-palin-to-hannity-i-dont-want-to-leave-the-gop-but-theyre-leaving-me/) Ted Cruz, the Birthers, and the shut it down group, have been the TAIL wagging the dog. Up till now, the dog didn't seem to mind.

Now, it appears they DO mind, and they wanna break up. How's it gonna work out?

So because Palin made a remark that means they want to break up? I still say the more interesting part of that is the comments section, the lefties are waging a vicious war on a woman.

Hello Steve:

So because Palin made a remark that means they want to break up?She may sway YOUR opinion, but she doesn't sway mine. Generally speaking, I make my political prognostications based on MY political acumen, and MINE alone. I don't need anybody else.

So, indulge me. I COULD be wrong.. After all, I was wrong once last year.

The old guard needs to retire or be primaried . They didn't mind the conservatives when they led them back to a majority in the House in 2010. What did they expect? that they wouldn't actually attempt to do what they campaigned for ?
That's not the way it works any more .The established elite ruling class doesn't always get it's way... just ask Evita.
They sound shrill in their condemnation of Cruz. They would never think of speaking that way to a Dem. Listen to McCain talk about a Dem... it's all "my friend ...my collegue.." Then he says Cruz is "wackadoodle " .
The nastier they get, the more it demonstrates how scared they are of the American people holding every elected official accountable. It's not surprising the Washington establishment pushes back. They have vested interest in the status quo . It's there where they thrive while pretending to be public servants .

If you don't think Palin has an impact ,then just look at NJ where Lonegan made a close race of the special Senate election in a state where the emperor ,and Lautenberg romped not long ago. Palin campaigned for him the weekend before the election ,and the poll #s started closing . She certainly did more for a NJ Republican candidate than Christie did (who went out of his way to ensure a win for Booker ) .
Like I said on another posting... the repubic establishment is way too content in losing a fight .

Hello again, tom:

You said, what I said.. So, how's it gonna play out? Primary's ONLY. That'll give you the House again, and MAYBE even the Senate, at the cost of the presidency FOREVER.

nahh there aint no thing as "forever " in politics. 2004 the Rovians were talking about a permanent repubic majority too.

I hate having to re edit the edits . clearly I didn't use a capital letter ...I used the word aint ,and I intentionally used the word republic . What is the point of this automatic spell checker !!!!!!??????

LOL, replacing one loony for another one ain't gonna move us forward, it will just make us hostages to crazy people. Replacing sane people with loony people ain't a solution either.

But not being a conservative or a loony, I just watch the free circus and its getting hard to tell the clowns from the loony's to be honest. But for sure I ain't buying Palin, or Cruze's version of the "American" people because they are LOONYS.

Most Americans are not. But there doesn't seem to be enough rational republicans to neutralize the loonys, but I doubt the younger republicans will be lead by the nose by the nut jobs. Bottom line, I expect more hollering and more loony behavior until true conservatives figure out how to govern responsibly and get the crazies to follow along.

The shutdown should have taught republicans to not let the loony's call the shots. Better get 'em under control in the primary. If they survive a general look out because that's when the trouble starts so abort them in the primary. I think you guys are wondering how.

HINT - You get what you pay for.

Ya know the villain in this, Sen Cruz, has been a gentleman (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/ted-cruz-tired-of-democrats-invoking-his-name-as-root-of-all-evil-in-the-world/) throughout. What's the media's excuse? What's Democrats' excuse?

“Do you think Ted Cruz is a bit like the David Koresh of the Republican Party (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/oct/17/msnbcs-latest-ted-cruz-akin-branch-davidian-cultis/?)? He’s a bit like a character who believes himself to be anointed, believes himself to be a prophet, ignores everything and torches the place in the process,” Mr. Bashir said during his show.

Now see I find that amusing coming from the network that gets thrills over the Messiah, but it's just one more example of everyone from liberal media types to Democratic congress members and the White House itself likening the GOP to terrorists, accusing them of waging jihad and anarchy. Read the comments on ex's link, it's VICIOUS!

You may not like Cruz or his politics, but the incivility from the left is breathtaking and it is your side intentionally portraying the GOP as loony extremists. Enough already, we can disagree, we can mock each other's guys even, but enough of this liberal vitriol spewing from every corner.

That's some disconnect, trying to get our fiscal house in order and avoid the ill-conceived, ill-planned, disastrously executed health care travesty is "trying to destroy our lovely nation?' I think you have that all backwards.Who exactly is going to pay our debt and how?

Republicans needed votes so the had to lay down the red meat to lead the TParty to the polls. Now the loony's are hooked on the red meat crazy talk and actually think they are going to lead and NOT just follow.

Now they have to keep feeding them, or be eaten alive by their own creation. You heard Ted and Sarah. They are coming to get you fake conservatives who refused to light their torch to burn America to the ground. They ain't taking NO for an answer.

What are you going to do about it?

tomder55
Oct 21, 2013, 06:35 AM
Not yet but it's happening . We will see. The leadership is saying "never again" . They don't mean never again getting brow beat and out played by the emperor . They mean never again will they allow the base of the party to make party policy .

Next round will be even tougher because the emperor will take the country to the brink again, so he can reverse the sequester cuts. If the party doesn't stay united in preserving the cuts then the party will lose all they gained. Bonehead probably saved his neck for now . But there are a whole bunch in the Senate who need to take a fresh look at their right flank come next year .

talaniman

Government by fear, probably doesn't work very well or is good at finding a true consensus. For sure its obvious that this country won't be a majority far right wing country, no matter the ambitions and actions of Ted, and Sarah.

Good luck getting enough people to follow those loons. Good luck getting that third party. Coalitions are what will survive in the political system and governance arena. Not just hollering. Stop the noise and the world will be PEACEFUL.

You can't count Tom. A 20% across the board cut of a weak economy that is only at 2% growth itself, is a too fast contraction for any adjustments to be made and increases unemployment on an already weak cash strapped citizenry. Put people before profits and deficits and create 30 million good paying jobs and you got a full recovery.

Give 'em welfare, or give 'em wages. Give 'em neither and they have little choice but to take whatever they can. Even yours. The good news is you won't have anything to take by then. That's what the sequester is all about, to think of how to best expand the flow of money. Fix the spigot that stops the trickle you supply siders have falsely touted.

As the population grows, so must the economy to support them. SIMPLE MATH!

Enough to know you don't have enough right wing votes to change a damn thing but you have enough noise to break the peace.

Ignoring the math doesn't make you smart. Listening to Ted, and Sarah doesn't make you smart either. Following their example does make you dumb though, big time. Take back your brain, and the rest of the country will listen, if not follow.
