My hair gets to a certain length of 12 inches, and stops growing. I deep condition daily, and every 3 months get a trim. If I start taking Biotin 500mcg vitamin for hair, skin, nails, will this help my hair grow quicker?

Simply put... no. It grows at the rate it grows... nothing you can do will change it.

Its quite hereditary, your skin, hair etc. but lot of other things also affects. Like diet, nutrition, pollution etc. first of all stop bombarding your hair with chemicals. All those conditioners are full of harmful stuff. Natural conditioner will be curd, egg etc. give a warm oil ( olive, coconut ) massage to hair and keep it over night, once a week. Next morning wash with mild shampoo. Include sesame in your food if possible. Almond, walnut are also be in diet.

Stress is bad for your body, and you are living with daily stress. I believe there's a connection.

Beautificians who use organic products will tell you that using coconut and similar oils need to be shampooed from your hair, and that very often requires a stronger product or products with "harmful" ingredients.

Thank you! :)

Olive oil doesn't have to be left on hair overnight to be beneficial. I always suggest an olive oil hot oil treatment of I oz of olive oil heated in microwave to warm, massage into hair while dry, cover with a soaked hot towel, leave on 15 min and shampoo out.

On a separate note - or maybe not - I continue to be, well, surprised, when someone comes on AMHD with a question, gets answers from people who have responded thousands of times (in this case over 78,000 times collectively) as well as someone who has posted a handful of times - and takes the advice (and thanks) the "handful of times" person.

Is it called "believe what you want and I don't care what experienced people say" - or something else?

They will figure it out soon enough when their hair ISN'T growing any faster than it was... or in some cases starts falling out because of the goop they put on it.
