I had my first ultrasound yesterday. It was a trans-vaginal u/s and the doctor could see the sac but no baby in it. So she send me to get blood work. My hcg level is 17,000. I don't have any idea how far along I am because I'm sixteen and my periods are never regular. Anyway, she said that it was very unusual for my levels to be that high and to not see anything but the sac in my ultrasound. I have another u/s scheduled for later today. If we don't see the baby, is that a for sure miscarriage? I really want my baby to be OK and to keep hope but I'm so scared now. Does anyone know anything about this kind of situation? Any advise or facts/statistics that could help? Please and thank you so much. I'm just so scared
