View Full Version : I think I'm in love with a straight guy

Recently, a friend of mine tricked me into going to her friend's birthday party. I'm really shy when it comes to meeting new people, so being the usual me, I just sat on a couch and stared at my phone while my friend was mingling with others. This guy then starts talking to me. He was cute, had a nice smile and a well toned body, so I started panicking when he talked to me. I didn't say much because I was still too shy but he made me feel more comfortable. Though I didn't say much, he made me laugh a lot.
My friend had to go home at midnight so I didn't get a chance to ask him questions, but as I was leaving he said "bye, it was nice meeting you."
I probably won't see him again but I've been thinking about him every night since. My friend said he had a girlfriend and even though the broke up he still loves her. But his ex was at the party, so why was he talking to me and not trying to get back together with his girlfriend? I'm so confused.
Oh and I know his Facebook, twitter, etc. but I don't have the courage to add him.
Any advice?

Well from a guy who likes guys you aren't in love. You are in infatuation. It is impossible to be in love from one meeting.

As far as the straight guy thing - we have all been down that road and it is probably a road that is in need of a lot of repairs. Meaning you will get your bumps and bruises if you go down that road. Straight guys are straight for a reason - they like girls.

Now if he is in the closet that is a totally different story. But not communicating with him won't get you any answers either. Plus he doesn't know you're gay right? You will probably eventually hear "I'm flattered but I am straight."
