View Full Version : I Lied About My Age and It's Haunting Me...

Any recommendations on how I should possibly deal with the situation? Has anyone else here ever found themselves or have had a friend in a similar scenario? If so what happened?

So long story short, I've had several occurrences with a man that has been interested in me for quite a while now. He's had a blantant attraction for me from the moment we met.

Here's the thing though, I've lied about my age to him. I feel absolutely "horrible" about this... He thinks that I'm 22, but really I'm 18. He's 36 years old. However, I feel as though I shouldn't tell him as of yet.

I'm worried how he might react to this. Either way, I know he would still be attracted to me, but I don't want to spoil his trust. I had no idea that we would be getting to this point, so lying about it wasn't as big of deal initially.

He is 36, he won't care if you are 18 or not, just tell him,

Why do you think your age will make a difference to him. I would think he would be excited that a young lady is interested in him.

Those four years at this stage of your life aren't any big deal. (14 vs. 18 would be.) I'm guessing he will be fine. He is attracted to you, not to your age level.

I have to agree with the other answers for the most part but let me add this...

If I were him, I would then also need to wonder what else you might have lied about.

Oh, odinn, that is such a good point. You are always a good thinker!
