Hello I am planning on opening a nanny business where I will be self employed and no one else. I wanted to find out if I do that what can I claim on my taxes at the end of the year? Since my husband's work doesn't include health insurance and I will purchase it privately can I deduct that? What about expenses like cell phone bills, laptop and supplies? Thank you

You will be able to deduct all of the expenses you cited, and a LOT more if you conduct the business from your home.

You will need to get PROFESSIONAL tax help to prepare your returns. Email me at the email address in my profile if you want my professional help.
