My garbage disposal grinds OK whatever is disposed but doesn’t drain the water. I have to wait until the water goes down by gravity. Is this fixable or do I have to buy a new one?

My garbage disposal grinds OK whatever is disposed but doesn’t drain the water. I have to wait until the water goes down by gravity. Is this fixable or do I have to buy a new one? Garbage disposal works as it should and it drains by gravity. I'm looking for a complaint here, Does the other tub drain OK? Does one tub drain and the other doesn't?
Drain slow? Clogged? Give me something to work with here. Back to you, Tom
