I have noticed every time we take showers or a bath, the hallway floor directly outside of the bathroom is soak and wet. The hallway is carpeted so it's a mess! What could be causing this?

Peal off the carpet and see where is the water coming from. Look inside your shower for large cracks in the tile, missing grout, loose faucet trim, missing escutcheons etc. If all appears OK than unscrew your shower arm, apply new teflon tape and reinstall. See if the leak continues. Back to you. Milo

Hi Syf

If you have tile walls and loose grout joints this could certainly be the issue.

You could also have a leak at the tub/shower valve (or even up at the shower arm). Remove the handle and trim plate from around the shower valve and then run the shower and see if you can see anything in behind the wall.

If you have an access panel then open it up, run the tub/shower valve and see what you can find... ;)

Start there... let me know what you find, OK?
