I had no water pressure in the kitchen sink from the hot water. I remove the old facet and checked the lines, they were clear. So I replaced the facet. I turned on the water and it ran black for a few seconds in hot and cold. I removed the spigot and clean the screen, it was full of charcoal. I know have no water pressure hot or cold. It just took me just over a minute to fill an ice cube tray. Help please.

Shut off angle valve under sink and disconnect speedy hose from faucet. Point into a pail and turn on valve. If u have low pressure, then it is very possible u have a blockage in valve.
The next step will take 2 people.
Have one person shut off water at main. Remove valve stem. Hold a gallon jug(with top cut off) in front of valve opening and turn on main for the count of 3. This should clean out line.
Put everything back together and turn on main. If faucet is still clean u should be good to go.

Chuck thanks for advice. I am going to try it today and I will let you know how it goes
I followed your instructions and even cleaned out the water tank. I got a lot of crap out of the tank and the lines. I have great pressure at the lines. But when I put it together to try it I still have nothing at the spigot. So I would say that the facet is plugged. Since I just bought this thing two days ago I don't want to buy another one. It is a Glacier Bay model 8184. How do I take it apart to clean it out? When I tried it initially I did it without the spigot screwed on. Just the hose. It blew out a big chunk of black crap. Help again please

I figured out that the facet is a piece of crap. I knew I should have bought a Moen. So I am returning it and getting a new one. But I have another problem. Now I can't turn off the hot water. All water is shut off. Period. The main supply, hot and cold under the sink plus the dishwasher and the hot water won't stop. What now?

When u say spigot do u mean the faucet spout?
If so u have to clean the cartridges in the faucet.
Turn off water at shut off valves under sink. Remove handle and take out the stems. Clean them off and with plastic cup to keep water from going all over the place, turn one of the valves on. Shut valve and do same to other side of faucet.
Put everything back together and see how it works.
U may have to do all faucets in house to clean out all lines.
Install a sediment filter in water line where it enters house.
If u did not flush hot water heater u will have to do that also.
Run for about 5 minutes from drain spigot at bottom of tank.
U should do this once a month to extend life of heater.

U may have picked up more trash in the angle stop under sink. U will have to flush it again. Check the washer to make sure it is good.

Gentlemen, I got it working correctly. The facet I bought and put in was total junk. I put it a good one, Moen, and all is well, no leaks. Thanks for the help.
