Hello,
The mercury switch thermosta in a room at the main level of our house is turned off yet heat continues to stay on in the room (hot water baseboard, gas heat). The zones in the system are controlled with Honeywell 40004850-001 zone valves. Recently we had one zone valve (to our hot water heater) removed and the powerhead replaced. What would keep heat coming into the room when the thermostat is not asking for it? Crossed wires? Also, when they replaced the powerhead they replaced the cartridge to the circulating pump.

It might have been doble connected (dobble two way connecttion)
Goes to and from line1 1/1 line2 2/2 line1 1/2 line1 2/1 or maybe the flore heat sensor is defective

I cannot say for seure it's a bit to technical but it might be that easy

Basically shut every thing down and wait until the flor is cold then open the valves one then wait 10 minutes then the next until the flor that is having the problem is varming upp if the valves are not supposed to go there then you have found the problem

Ariusp,
OK I will give it a try, makes sense to me and sounds like a good starting point.
