I received a DUI in the State of Illinois where I live with my 3 children in January 2010 . I was arrested and charged with dui I had my 12 year old daughter in the car , but it was never written in the report . In march DCFS came and took my children out of the home because of My dui . I have went to court several times I have completed all of the classes ordered in my service plan and now my case has been continued tntil march of next year . I haven't done anything wrong why have my kids been taken from me They are in separate foster homes and have gone down hill . I'm only allowed to see them on saturdays supervised for 2 hours . In my service plan they stated that the maximum amount of time that they would be out of the home would be 3 to 5 months . I can't afford a lawyer I need someone's help Please

You can't afford not to have an attorney.
But you still don't get it, and that is most likely why the kids are still out of your home " I have not done anything wrong".
Well if you don't count putting your children at risk driving while drinking. But to most of the nation and the law, this is a serious issue.
The report does not have to list the child, the officer knew it, and Social Services was notified and I am sure the officer would testify in court.
So you can start by admitting your fault, admitting your mistake. Also you have not mentioned if you were in any program to stop drinking? Something I am sure Social Services will want to see.

Yes I have completed parenting classes , drug/alcohol classes . I know by putting my daughter in the car was wrong and I have completed every class that was asked of me right after my kids were taken from me . I still keep going to court just for the case to be continued time after time .
