Last November I had my dark brown hair bleached blonde than dyed bright red but it came out orange so dyed again and not the gorgeous red result! I've been dying it red every month to keep the colour since last Nov and my hair is extremely dry and dull and hasn't grown as well. Under the top layer of my hair loads of my natural brown colour coming through so what's best to do? I tried to dye it brown but it didn't cover the red very well. I live in the UK. Any UK products I can try to make it nice again? I'm getting my hair cut with loads of layers this evening to help cut the bleach out but not sure what else to do. Still keep dying it red until it's all brown again? Any help/advice?

As a professional hairstylist, I suggest having your hairstylist fix your color for you and give your hair a deep conditioning treatment. If you insist on doing this yourself, you will most likely not get perfect results and may have to live with less than ideal color until you can either 1. perfect it, or 2. let it grow out. Because you have put red on for so long, there should be plenty of warm tone in your hair to apply a neutral brown (similiar level to your natural color that is coming through) color to your hair. Try to use a demi-permanent so that you have less risk of your hair turning "muddy". You should end up with a warm brown color (which is better than the dirty mulled color you would most likely get trying to counteract the red tones on your own with a ash color). I am not in the UK, so I don't know what is available to you. If you have a local beauty supply store with knowledgeable professionals, you might take this information in with you and ask for their help choosing a product. Please remember to get a deep conditioner and protect your investment.
