My hair is naturally a dark/dirty blonde which I highlight during the summer. My hair dresser went WAY overboard with the highlights (and dark low lights underneath) a month ago, and I noticed my the highlighted pieces breaking off at the top of my head recently. Two days ago I purchased Wella Color Charm in 5R Chesnut and applied it. I've used this product before as I like to get rid of the highlights at the end of the summer and it seems to fortify the slightly damaged pieces. It is usually darker than my natural color, but fades nicely to it in a month or so. This time it is VERY red and I hate it. Is there anything I can do to take the red out without stripping my hair? Is it so red this time because my hair was over processed or could it be a change/variation in the demi color itself? Thanks :)
