Im installing a hunter ceiling fan model 27302. I've followed the instructions for wiring the fan and checked it with a tester to make sure that it has power and it does. The fan or light won't turn on. For the fan to get power I have to disconnect the wire labelled common in, but even then it won't turn on. What do I do

Did you figure out the problem?? I out up a Hunter ceiling fan today and I am having the same problem. It will not turn on. I was soooo excited that I had installed a ceiling fan all by myself, turned the power back on, flipped the switch, and... nothing. I am very frustrated also.
