I am 35 weeks pregnant though I may actually be further along... I have bronchitis and a complete upper respiratory infection. I also have not eaten any solid foods since Sunday though I am able to drink and have smoothies and some steamed vegs. I have some vomiting and diarrhea every time I go since Saturday. Doctor gave me cough syrup w/codine and an antibiotic on Weds. And I am slowly getting better. What I am wondering is can being this sick bring on labor? Though I have been sick I have trouble sleeping and have cleaned my house from top to bottom... What is going on with me? Is this the way it is at the end of pregnancy? Or do I happen to just be sick with everything and have insomnia? Can this cause labor to come on early? Should I be trying to relax more?

Some women find it difficult to sleep well towards the end of pregnancy. Add to it being ill, and taking medicine, it wouldn't be surprising that you have trouble with it. Don't worry about being sick causing you to go into labor. Consider the number of women who do become ill in their pregnancy without incident.

Hopefully, as you feel better, you will be able to get some sleep at least. In the meantime, do the usual... rest as much as you can, drink plenty of fluids to stay well hydrated (being a bit dehydrated can cause the uterus to contract more), and be sure to complete the full course of antibiotics even if you do start feeling better. If possible, get others to pamper you a bit more as well... :)
