It says graph the following: y=_x , y=2x and y=8x

How do I graph it with no points ?

You have to figure out the points. You simply choose a value for x, and calculate the corresponding value of y.

For example, for y=2x, you could choose x = 0. In that case, y=2*0 so the point (0,0) is one point on the graph. Now try x=1: you get y=2, so (1,2) is another point on the graph. Now try a third point. How about x= -3? That means y=-6, so (-3,-6) is yet another point on the graph.

There you go! Now you have three different points you can plot. Just connect the dots to get the plot for y=2x.

Now can you do the same thing for the other two equations?
