I´ve shot some video clips with a point and shoot camera and just need to rotate them from horizontal to vertical, no other editing required. I tried to do this with Windows Movie Maker but just can´t seem to figure out how to use it and have sent at least one clip into a parallel universe. Is there another program I can use to perform this task?

These are free and work well. You will find one in there to rotate your videos. Its pretty straight forward.

One more tip: Copy the clips and practice on the copies to stay within your own universe.
