Fox News. Yes, after the overdue departure of Helen Thomas, Fox News has been granted a front row seat (http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/112079-fox-news-to-move-to-front-row-briefing-room-seat) in the White House briefing room, by a unanimous vote of the White House Correspondents Association. The AP will move into Thomas' center seat and Fox will move into the AP's old front row seat.

I think they've earned it, and apparently so did the WHCA.

Fox has certainly "earned it" in the sense that they have a major commitment to reporting news from the Whte House. The only other contenders were NPR and Bloomberg - to me it seems like a no-brainer, as apparenetly it was to the WHCA.

Major Garrett is a legit journalist who asks probing questions worthy of the best standards of the 4th Estate... and he does it without the cheap barbs that were too often part of Helen Thomas' repertoire.
