My girlfriend is study abroad for 5 weeks and it's killing me. We talk everyday and I'm not worried about her cheating or anything. I just can't stop thinking about her or waiting for her to call. It can't be healthy. I'm trying to stay busy with work and hobbies but even then I can't stop obsessing. Does anyone have any advice or is this actually pretty normal?

Its somewhat normal, and does happen when 2 people are apart from each other, however its not forever, and 5 weeks seems forever away at moment but it'll soon pass. Keep busy, get those jobs done you've been putting off until now, go for walks, or cycling, weight training, running, don't laze around in doors thinking of her all the time, get busy and the time will fly by. Don't mope about feeling sorry she's gone, get in trim, and ready for when she comes back...

I think it's normal to miss someone you care deeply about.
Just keep reminding yourself that it's only 5 weeks and she'll be back spending time with you.

It's normal, but you can stay busy. Don't sit around and think about it. Find other positive things to occupy your time.

Its normal to miss your partner, but see it as a chance to not only miss each other, but get a break and pay attention to other areas of your life.
You do have a life that you enjoy with out her don't you.
