Ah, so, for that system, I'd be in college too.

My GP teacher said that Colleges and Uni are on the same level, it's just that colleges are affiliated with 'main' uni.

Like, there's Cambridge, and in the campus, you have several colleges. Well, I'm most confused now... anyway, since you know the system better than me, I must have misunderstood my teacher. Thanks for the little information! :)

Well, I'm somewhat glad to know that Emop. I would prefer that you know your partner for a longer period before having a baby, that is another level of responsibility, and right now, you just need to enjoy each other, and not try to rear a child. I think it's too early IMO. :)

It is too early, I agree. Which is why I'm continuing with my birthcontrol this month

Things are great, Dad got a a job he starts on tuesday. How about you?

yes it is in many ways, but I was sorta hoping (I know bad bad emop!)

I'm all right thanks :)

I hear if I've got a job on Tuesday and I'm officially mostly moved out :D

I'm not going to scold you emop :), only you will know when you want to have children.

Me for example, the thought of having a child at my age as I am now, scares the crap out of me, I'm nowhere near ready or to settle down or devote the time, I'm still rather happy go lucky and go with the flow kind of guy :D

But I now a gal (20) a year younger than me (married to one of my best friends), now has 3 children under the age of 7, one being a 3 or so month old, and I believe just broke up with my friend, life is what you make it :)

I keep trying to find something to do but just can't seem to find it. I am really bored at work and I have been wondering around the boards not finding much.

Anyway, how are you doing Bella?

Aurora_Bell
Jul 5, 2010, 12:12 PM
I'm doing all right. Just finished mowing my lawn. Gawd it is HOT out there.

I always find the adult sexuality boards entertaining. Also the society and culture.

adam_89
Jul 5, 2010, 12:15 PM
Yea, I just can't bring myself to read some of the questions and when I do, I figure it is best if I don't answer. So, I don't. I really need to mow my yard, I was looking at pictures of my house and yard a few minutes ago and it was so beautiful and now it is a jungle.

Aurora_Bell
Jul 5, 2010, 12:21 PM
Mine was too. I had to tilt the mower up on the back wheels to cut most of the grass. The back yard is so bad I need to get a ride on to actually mow it down. I don't mind doing yard work, but it's like +34c with the humadex today.

Alty
Jul 5, 2010, 12:59 PM
Ha, ha. My son is 11, so the lawn gets mowed, with supervision, but still, I ain't pushing the mower, so it's all good.

Sydney get's to hold the bag when Jared dumps the grass.

I just sit on my lawn chair with a glass of water and dictate orders.

Children do come in handy. ;)

I want a kid. I was at a cookout the other day and he had a firepit a ways from his house and anytime he wanted something from his house he would just ask his kids to go get it and off they went so happily. I said I had to get me one of those. Haha. Jk

Once they hit around 5, they're so eager to please. When they hit 12/13, they no longer run to do your bidding.

Still, that's around 7 years of service, so not too bad. ;)

Aurora_Bell
Jul 5, 2010, 01:30 PM
Crap I still have at 3 more years until E will do my bidding. Although she keeps asking to pick up the dog poop, I think I may just let her. She also is a great drink fetcher from the fridge as long is it's in a can or bottle.

adam_89
Jul 5, 2010, 01:45 PM
Big words Bella and I understood them. Haha. I guess I should speak more educated than I do now. Anyway, I ask myself that question everyday and I still don't know. I may never know and she may be gone before I get the chance to know.

Aurora_Bell
Jul 5, 2010, 01:48 PM
That's heavy. I always figure, if they're the one, then you know. Like you don't sit and wonder "what if". But than you have to ask yourself, how would you feel if she wasn't in your life any more?

adam_89
Jul 5, 2010, 01:54 PM
Well I really do lover her and I can see myself with her the rest of my life and I really don't want anyone else, but I just don't think I am ready for the marriage thing yet.

I was engaged once, before R. Ya, I was 18, it was stupid. Still... I said yes, because at that time, I felt, what the heck, may as well. I knew he wasn't the one, but it's hard to say no to someone that spends the money on a ring. :(

Grrrrrr.

I have one. It sucks.

When it's working, which isn't often, it's fuzzy, it's crackly, it hangs up on people, puts them on hold, you name it.

It's a great idea, if it worked consistently, but it doesn't.

Bella, remember the time I tried to call you? Remember the crackling, the terrible connection? That was Magic Jack.

The magic is lost. ;)

It may or may not be the magicjack. Your provider or computer can also be the reason.

What's the scoop with skype? Do they have that in Canada? Don't you need to have a web cam?

magic jack stinks. everytime i call alty...20 seconds into the convo (WHEN it actually connects and WHEN she can actually hear me)...i hear elevator music.

get skype. much better.

I have to agree.

Hate Magic Jack.

I originally got it talk to Sneezy. Ya kid, it's all because of you. You're to blame. All your fault. Feel bad. ;)

99.9% of the time, it doesn't work. The rest of the time, when it is working, the connection is made, it's still crappy.

Don't know much about skype. Got desperate yesterday and tried to set it up, but it's me, and you know how computer literate I'm not. ;)

Oh yea, I just thought it was because it was raining or something. I have free LD here in NS, and pay 5 cents a minute any where else is Canada.

That one call only cost me $7.00, and we talked for like 3 hours.

Not sure how it works in Canada but in the U.S. cable companies provide phone service and its unlimited calling to ALL of U.S. and Canada as well as a few other countries for about $20 a month.

I have highspeed internet, runs great. My puter is happy.. ish.

That's what it's basically like in every other province in Canada, except here in NS. We're still kind of backwards here. We only have street names on one end of the street

Skype is a wonderful amalgamation between a webchat + magic jack.

All you need is a program and you can webchat. If you want to CALL people or want people to call you, then you need a subscription. I pay $2.70 a month to be able to call US and canada (unlimited), and then I roughly pay $6 so that I get assigned a phone number and people are able to call me.

Then there's the chat thing, where you can chat to people and there's the webcam thing, which is nice for those... interesting... conversations.

You also can do many of the same things for free with Yahoo. VOIP isn't as big a deal now as it used to be.

no. you chat in real time... not post something and refresh and whatnot. And that part's free. Webcam part is free as long as you have a camera. You can call each others' computers for free as long as you have a mic/speakers.

Now, calling one's PHONES... cost money.

Been there done that, but when you are over 40 it's harder to lose the weight.

Yes. I don't look like that... yet. ;)

Actually, I don't have wrinkles. Don't know if it's genetics, the weather in Canada, the fact that I don't tan on purpose, use cream, or what.

Maybe that's why I look 12?

I wish.

I have pictures on the site.

I'll post one of them here. It almost a year old, but haven't changed much. The color is a bit darker now, and I've lost some weight. Other then that, it's me at 38. :)

Oh god. My mom goes through these phases where she's yelling at me to get married and have kids... and then goes to the extreme opposite of telling me not to get married (... half my friends are married... most of the other half is engaged... a good percentage of them have kids).

LOL! Don't have to wait for that. Had the vice principal and the grade 6 teacher hit on me this year.

This is how warped I am. I flirted back hoping that the kids would get A's because of it. No go. :(

My favorite is when some 20 something flirts with me thinking that because I'm old... er, I'll be flattered. Ya right. Been there. Done that. Wrote the book. I'm too old to train another one. ;)

No grandkids! Not for at least, LEAST, 10 years. Even that is too early. Jared would only be 21.

I have a while (I HOPE) before I have to worry about grandkids.

I feel the urge to talk to my kids about birth control all of a sudden.

Med school, marriage and kids, doesn't mix well.

Just saying. :)
