A little different and a sucky ending but I seen it last night and it was the first one to pop into my head.

Jun 21, 2010, 01:41 PM
Ok, since I have been gone things might have changed but does the greenies mean nothing anymore? Do people just give them to the people the like?
I answered a question and 3 people followed me saying the same damn thing. They get some greenies and I didn't so I was just wondering if they still had value.
albear
Jun 21, 2010, 01:48 PM
nope haven't seen it, is it in the cinemas or can I rent it?
don't worry about the greenies, to me they lost all value ages ago, now they just seem like a way to add a quick note to the post they like, rather than post a sepparate post.

You can rent the movie. It has Samuel Jackson and Carrie Anne Moss in it. I need a movie to watch tonight. Any recommendations? Are the Lord of the rings movies any good? I just don't think so but I need to know if they are worth it. Haha
I was just venting with that I guess.

Jun 21, 2010, 01:56 PM
Ahhh problem there, there isn't a video renting place near me :(
On the other hand I thought the lord of the rings films brilliant, out of the three the second one was my favourite.
If you haven't watched them I would well recommend you do, in order one straight after the other :D

The Lord of the Rings is worth watching for the cinematography alone. The acting's pretty good, the effects are top notch, and they stick fairly close to the books. The Enzed mountains and the photography deserve their Oscars. Definitely watch.

Okay well.... :(
Last Monday I had made a special time with this really nice lady to teach me how to sew. I was really excited. But with work and being busy 24/7 I just didn't have the time to get the supplies, and I woke up at 9AM that day (class is from 10-1) and it'd just be me and her and I told her the worst thing ever... I told her that my brother had died:eek:
it just came out.. like it came out.. oh god it came out like nothing. Like a sneeze.
Then this morning after another crazy weekend I had everything ready but Rachel was not co-operating with me so early in the morning. I was on my way out with her and then it happened. She fell. busted her knees and scraped them on the cement. There was no way it was going to be a pleasant day today. So I called her and told her... that maybe next weekend would be better after everything has calmed down.
:(
I feel like such a douche bag
My sister killed off all KINDS of relatives (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) when she was pregnant the first time. She would decide that she didn't want to go to school because of morning sickness or sore feet or any number of other reasons and kill off an imaginary relative to get out of it. I'm SURE the office knew exactly what was going on.

Muddy, welcome to be human, we tend to fark up once in a while.
If anyone on this forum has never told a lie, a whopper, then they can yell at you all they want, if they want. I will just sit in the corner remembering the time I told someone that I had to go to the hospital in order to get out of going on a date with him.
I may have told him that it was fatal.
Sigh.
Shyt happens. Sometimes you open your mouth and words just flow out before you can think it through. Welcome to my world. ;)
I once told a teacher that an accident that happened on the way from school for break happened on the way back to school. I told her that I wasn't back in the dorms yet because the car needed fixed. She had the dean of students call my mother to ask when I got back to the dorms.
I got in pretty good trouble for that one.

I suggest the movie 'stay' for everyone to watch. If came out a few years ago, and didn't seem to be a big hit. I LOVED it though. Really makes you think, and the ending is not expected.
The plot summary on imdb doesn't come anywhere NEAR doing it real justice.
Stay (2005/I) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371257/)

If I created an imaginary family for the purpose of killing them off to get out of things I don't think I could do it, id get attached to them all because they were all nice to me and we'd have fun :)
And possibly further down the line id think of them as more family than my actual family.
And then id have... issues :(

You know what Bear, that's normal. It's showing that you have concern for your future, which is really something that you should be thinking. You just finished school right? Are you feeling a bit over whelmed with the next step that needs to be taken? Like the "real" world?
I feel that way, but I am in a different situation. I am almost 30 and just going back to school. And I am terrified. Part of me wants to say fark it, and get a job as a receptionist again. It's stable and I know I am getting a pay cheque. I feel like I am putting mine and my daughter's future in jeopardy.
You are a smart man, you'll be okay. But you just got to take it one day at a time. Plan as much as you can for the future, but remember you can only plan so much of life.

I haven't been in a position before where I didn't know roughly what was going to happen, or at least have a 'get out of jail' card to play if things went wrong.
I'm still in school bella, finished my 2nd year at uni, and am looking for a placement in industry for next year (compulsary), thing is its not looking good at all, and if I don't find one I think ill be able to take a year out, but everyone I've talked to says that's a bad idea as you'll just end up doing nothing for a year and be in even worse shape for your third year, and I'm not in a decent shape as it is to take on my third year, so going straight to that is a deffinet no.
So all I can do is keep applying to places and hope for the best, which is what I have been doing.
But other than that, I've got no idea, and it isn't enough :(
Cya'll later going to head out for a little while, destress and get some fresh air, take care :)

3 more days of school and then 2 month vacation. Dog help me.
Sydney is already driving me crazy. She's bored, she has nothing to do, she's lonely, she's whiny.
Today, 5 minutes after they got home, she came to me all whiny "Mommy I have nothing to do", so I got a broom, a bucket and a mop, told her to sweep and wash the front foyer and when she's done, there's plenty more to do.
Funny how she found some toys (her room is full of them) to play with after that. ;)
Kids! God love them, but some days... grrrrrrr!

At least you didn't get called a Cougar. I've really had a rough past few days. I was at a friends birthday party on Saturday and I being 26 was the youngest one there. Age range was from early 30's- early 40's. This woman shows up with 18 year old drunken friend who as the night proceeded decided she would call me an "older lady".
I still get I.D'd for matches for crying out loud! I do NOT look like an older lady!! Then Bear called me a cougar. :( :(

Being a Cougar is a good thing. You're not old enough, I agree, but to an 18 year old, well, sadly 26 is old to a teen, which makes me ancient, one foot in the grave, on my last leg, on my death bed, darn kids! I'm telling you, they don't appreciate their youth like they should!
Sneezy calls me his cougar, and with a 15 year age difference, I guess I am older. ;)

Young in body, old in soul. It's really funny, (well I think it is) I was out camping on Friday and there were some girls that I had just met in their mid 30's, we were all sitting around the camp fire having a drink, playing the guitar singing songs. They were shocked to learn I was only 26. One of them turns to me and says "you have an old soul you know that"? Then she proceeded to call me cute as a button, so I am not sure how that all works together.

Id seen the "hotdog saw" video years ago.
I like innovation. It's a neat trick if it works... but it allows for bad form... which I don't like. 'course I don't like ER trips either..
Just about every action we do over and over eventually involves some level of "muscle memory"... where you might have had to think and focus on how to walk at first... now its way back... streaming like elevator music in the background.
I'm not saying we should be all tough love about chop saws and just have open, unguarded blades and let darwin weed out the clumbsy... but for some reason that hot dog saw bugs me.
Itd be one thing if all saws had it... it was common... a little fear is good sometimes... and using a more common saw, with all the commonly needed precautions, would train you to use better form more of the time, in theory.
Or not.
That said... think of all the hot dogs that would get wasted showing your buddies how cool your power tool was...
I'm writing about weiners and saws. Time to do something else.

I saw that saw in person and it's made extremely well. Never used it, but it would seem to be a joy to use.
The shaft, I think is over 1" diameter because it has to absorb the impact of the blade.
It is destructive, about $80 for the gizmo and who knows what for the blade, so it is an expensive mistake.
On the flip side, however, wet wood can also cause the mechanism to trigger and so would cutting metal. There is a test and disable mechanism built into the saw too.
If I were selecting a saw, I would definitely have that one on the table.

I'm not fond of the table saw/hotdog saw. Mine is older then me, off center, the blade wobbles, you can't cut straight even if you're the most skilled person on earth.
I prefer the mitre saw, but you don't always have a piece of wood that fits, sometimes you have to suck it up and use the finger chopper/table saw.
Hubby always panics when I use it. I don't know why. I've never hurt myself using any of the power tools. He's come close to losing a finger, stitches in his hand, chunks of stuff embedded in his head, and I'm a concern?

Could any of it have been an act? He could he have thought he was pulling a prank? Questionable taste in humor is much better to contemplate than 'crazy stalker dude'.
However, I think I would make certain that people (husband, family, friends, maybe his mother and police) know that you have no real relationship with him other than old acquaintances.

I wish I were still small/petite. I'm sick of patients' families asking me when my baby is due!
Phentermine is at the pharmacy waiting to be picked up. My exercise is walking 3-5 miles a day while I am at work.

Ok, back. I was joking earlier. I'm not fat... in fact, my BMI is below 20...
\frac{58}{1.68^2} = 20.55
Oh, looks like I took some weight lastly... oh right, I was 55 kg then :p

Now there is a weight-loss plan that should be effective. ;):)
Hi, Alty. :)
It's not the most flavorful, but it works. ;)
Hi Cat.

I am not telling anyone how much I weigh. If you want to know, you'll have to weigh me. :)
I am bigger then a bread basket. That's all I'm telling you.

Wow, Unky is still alive? Ouch. I know he doesn't know what he said but that was risky. J, that is small, you are petite is the word I believe I am looking for.
So to make everybody feel better. I am 6'3" and weigh 252 lbs.
To make you feel better I'm about 5'7, 5'8 (says tape measure) and about 105.5 kg i.e just under 17 stone :o
Yeah I'm not a healthy bunny :(

i need to know :D
hmmm damn i dont like the water round here, still i could cut out all the fizzy beverages
and when i go to the gym i could (eventually) run that and do some weights
You move faster than you think, I started running for 10 minutes at a slow speed and ended up getting a half mile in. Now that is pretty slow. Now I am so close to getting a whole mile in under 10 minutes. It will happen in time. If you run everyday you will get there bud.

I don't care about how much I weigh... I'm one of the smallest gals in my nursing unit. But I want to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight of over 8 years ago... A slim and sexy 99 pounds soaking wet.
Well, I guess this is what happens when you turn over 40.

Throwing a brick your way now!
I was told 13 years ago that I was going to die! Here I am alive and well, but just 40 pounds heavier. It's the metabolism that slows with age.

At 5'11" tall, if I weighed 99 pounds, I'd break in half.
The slimmest I can go, without looking ill, is around 140 pounds. That's me in a size 4 - 6.

Rae wears the clothes that I wore when I was PREGNANT with her (she's retro). She only weighs 94.4 pounds at age 16. I had her when I was 28.
Bed time for me. I have to work tonight.

PHew I was just saved.
He came in there, I am calling him a stalker. Clearly he wasn't leaving since he pulled up a chair and sat down. But thankfully I had advertising sales man come in so I got really wrapped up in that on purpose and he left. I filled the advertising guy in on it. So he knows. Which makes me feel good someone knows just in case. I was able to fill him in because we have been dealing with each other for a few years and spent a lot of time talking.

I like bigger men! I remember after I had my daughter, I gained a few extra pounds, my Gawd did I ever hear about it. Family, friends, strangers you name it, every one had a comment on my extra cushion. Still not back to my original weight, which was about 110-120 lbs, people still comment on how pretty I "was".
Heavier men are much more ascetically pleasing In my opinion, I like to see a man with meat on his bones.

My mom always said that heavier men just have amazing mothers and wives. ;)
R was skinny until he met my mother. We had him over for dinner every Sunday, and he started liking food for the first time ever. His mother couldn't cook if you put a gun to her head.
So you, apparently it's all my fault. ;)

Bear and Adam would hate living with me. I love cooking, and with a very European back ground, it's usually not on the 'light' end of things. I mean how much more carbs can you pack into one meal with Perogies?

I just looked at a BMI thing and I am obese, there is no way I am obese. D they take muscle in to count here? Geeze!
Unknown008
Jun 23, 2010, 11:24 AM
Well, don't stop your way to lose some weigh then Adam ;)
BMI is just a rough value, don't rely too much on it. And muscles do weigh more than fats.

Sure. I love playing with power tools and building things.

You are too sweet. I was thin until I turned 40. Now weigh a whopping 140.
Run? No not me...not here in the 107 degree temps unless I'm being chased!
140 isn't fat. That's about what I weigh.
Unknown008
Jun 23, 2010, 11:42 AM
Well, for me, you don't seem obese, and if you don't seem to find yourself obese either, that must mean that it's your muscles that are the cause of the extra weight. Don't worry much about it, unless you go into the tier of overweight
But I think that you're fine :)

I weigh around 140 and wear about a size 8-9. the smallest I've been was a seize 7ish. It doesn't matter how much I weigh, my bone structure just doesn't allow for smaller sizes. I have hips.
