Well I had a few options, I could have went in and worked out for free to see if I liked it and then bought a membership the next time but I know I would have never came back so I paid up front and then worked out afterwards.

What the heck kinda nipples are you talking about, and where the heck are you working?
my new avvie is the pair of nipples I brought home from work.
it's a factory that makes parts for hot water heaters. Those metal pieces are called nipples. These came in large, wooden crates marked .75"x2" bare nipples.
Hhaha I didn't see THAT.
lol now I'm curious to find out what all this nipple talk is about...

The difference for us is we aren't expected to raise to the supposed heights England always sets their team , I would hate to play for them , you can only be a loser because even when they win it's just expected.
We have to beat Ghana tonight , simple as that , and if we do the whole nation will rise again in support , if not we'll hail them for their efforts ;)

Well, I'm going to bed. Edith keeps telling me I should be asleep, and my body is starting to agree with her.
My poor kitties feel neglected. I'm gone almost 9 hours a day now. When I'm home, either I'm asleep or they are. I get home from work, and they spend several minutes acting like they haven't seen me in days, before passing out near me.
There will have to be lots of kitty cuddle and play time on the weekends. And I'm going to have to start locking them out of my room while I'm at work. They tore the place apart today. Pulled stuff off the wall, knocked over the trash and spread it across the floor, unplugged everything, dragged dirty laundry out of the closet. I can't have to put my room back together every night.
OK, sleeping. Tomorrow is the weekend, so I get to be online during normal-people hours.

There's a great feeling to having an easy day when you have worked hard all week.
hheath541
Jun 20, 2010, 01:19 AM
oh, I think weekends are going to be my favorite time of the week. I like the job and making money and everything, it's just TIRING! I work 8 hours a day most, if not all, of it on my feet with periods of heavy lifting thrown in at random intervals. This job may actually give me muscles in my arms. Maybe I'll no longer be able to wrap my hand around my arm all the way up past my elbow. Now, if I could just remember NOT to lift with my back and pace myself so I don't run out of steam with 2 hours left in the shift.
I think I'll get the hang of it after another week or two. Factory work just takes some getting used to, especially when all your past job experience is more of the 'secretary' variety. Filing a stack of papers as thick as my waist, stuffing 1200 envelopes, answering phones, and opening mail in NO way resemble resemble running heavy machinery that weighs more than some cars, heats up to temperatures that melts plastic, and could probably eat my arm if I let it.
I'm glad that I have not ONCE heard the phrase, 'don't put your finger in there,' or anything resembling it. Everyone else who's shown me how to run machinery or power tools has started by explaining that I shouldn't put my appendages near the spinning blades of death or touch the pointy bits or lick the rediculously hot surfaces. Here, they automatically assume I'm smart enough to figure out that the machine that melts plastic into a liquid to be formed into tubes is going to be hot, or that I shouldn't stick my fingers in the hole where tubes go to get holes punched in them, or that putting my arm in the machine that grinds plastic into very small confetti while it's running is a bad idea. They don't treat me like a child who needs to be warned that the stove is hot before they touch it. They treat me like an adult that's smart enough to realize that high temperatures, spinning blades, hydraulic-powered super-sized hole punches, and forces that bend metal mean PAIN if I'm stupid enough to put my finger in them.
now, if I could just get them to realize that I'm not fragile. I can move and lift things without help most of the time. I'm not going to get offended by jokes or sexual discussions. I don't need people who are NOT my supervisor coming over to ask me if I'm OK or to give me unneeded advice on how to do something I was JUST shown how to do. I definitely don't need the shift busy-body telling me stories I have absolutely no reason to believe, and every reason to doubt.
I guess all that will come with time, though.

Your post made me laugh, you're the newbie on the floor,I guess your supervisor is just making sure your getting on OK,it would be way worse if they didn't give a crap.
I always dreaded the first month in anew job, trying to learn the job, getting to know people, susing out who's who.
I was always totally wreaked tired in the beginning, but as you know yourself, once you get into it,it's a breeze, and of course pay day,the best day of the week!

Indeed,those memories of my yesterdays...
Allowing those with more time on the job a little slack would be prudent.. but you still need to be you, right?? (hheath)
Heck,if they want to help, let them show you ALL the ways of heavy lifting, all shifts, all times of the day, let them DO it for you, then the 2 hours before shift is over, you can show them how much energy YOU have over their 'experienced' butts... LOL

They're trying to help the newbie. That's really nice, if sometimes a little smothering. That'll die down in a little while. I travel, so I get two or three different gossips(to tell me about people in their town I don't know) each week. Some things you just endure. This, compared to what you've been through recently, is nothing.
You're doing so well, Hheath. We were worried about you for so long.

Fortunately, I'll have a week without school (there are many activities which I'm not taking part in.
Monday: Music day; Tuesday: Sports day; Wednesday: Football fastival; Thursday: Prize giving and Friday is Mid Term holiday (though it's not really the middle of the term)

Today was better than yesterday. With the family yesterday, cousins and other relatives, it was rather boring. We spoke little at dinner, and the 'party' ended quickly.

I know, and I'm usually careful around things that have the potential of causing me serious bodily harm. I like knowing how and why things work, so I usually figure out which parts are dangerous fairly early on.
Now, if the machine would just stop breaking. It broke 3 times in 2 days while I was using it. My boss had to take it apart and fix it. Apparently, it's not entirely unheard of for that particular machine to go down on a semi-regular basis. It just meant I got to go do something else while it was getting fixed.

Reminds me of a joke.
Just for you Chuck.
The new priest was so nervous at his first mass, he could hardly speak. Before his second appearance in the pulpit, he asked the Monsignor how he could relax. The Monsignor said, 'Father, next Sunday it may help if you put some vodka in the water pitcher. After a few sips everything should go smoothly.'
The next Sunday the new priest put the suggestion into practice and was able to talk up a storm. He felt great! However, upon returning to the rectory he found a note from the Monsignor:
Dear Father,
1. Next time sip rather than gulp.
2. There are 10 Commandments, not 12.
3. There are 12 disciples, not 10.
4. We do not refer to the Cross as 'The Big T'.
5. The recommended grace before meals is not 'Rub-a-dub-dub, thanks for the grub. Yeah God!'.
6. We do not refer to our Saviour, Jesus Christ and his Apostles as 'J.C. and the Boys'.
7. David slew Goliath, he did not 'kick the $hyt out of him'.
8. Moses parted the water at the Red Sea, he didn't pass water.
9. We don't refer to Judas as 'El Finko'.
10. The Pope is consecrated, not castrated, and we don't refer to him as 'The Godfather'.
11. When Jesus broke the bread at the Last Supper he said, 'Take this and eat it, for it is my body', he did not say 'Eat me'.
12. David was hit by a rock and knocked off his donkey, he wasn't 'stoned off his a$$'.
13. The Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost are never referred to as 'Big Daddy, Junior, and the Spook'.
14. It is always the Virgin Mary, never 'Mary with the Cherry'.
15. Last, but not least, next Wednesday there will be a Taffy-Pulling contest at St. Peter's, not a Peter-Pulling contest at St. Taffy's.

We do not discuss the accordion! I deny everything! You can't prove it! It's a cool instrument. Shut up, it is too cool! :o
I'm Mary with the cherry? Bella, whenever I'm forced (yes forced) to go to church the only prayer I say is that I won't burn to a crisp as soon as I cross the threshold. I don't go near the holy water, I'm sure it would burn.
To make matters worse, the last time I went, it was for a funeral, in the Catholic church I used to go to when in school. It's huge, and the place was packed. I had a bad cough, and wouldn't you know it, I had a coughing fit right at the moment the priest asked everyone to bow their heads in a moment of silence.
I couldn't have stopped coughing if someone had put a gun to my head, and I think a few people wanted to.
I ended up getting up and leaving. I felt so bad. It was a good friends fathers funeral.
Afterwards, at the coffee and cake session, no one would come near me. My friend however thought it was hilarious. His father would have gotten a kick out of the fact that he got me into a church and that even then I couldn't behave. ;)
It wasn't my fault. I even took cough medicine before we went. I think God just has it in for me. :(

Every once in a while, do something a little bit stupid. Nothing big. Nothing dangerous. Nothing that you don't feel comfortable doing. Just a little something to add to the memory book. Okay?

Nah, no fake nipples needed. Just a couple pieces of strategically placed electrical tape.

On second thought, that's probably a bad idea. ;)
Oh no. I can't type anymore. Something is wrong with the keys! It's not me. It's the keys. I swear it.

Apparently, a REALLY good way to cool off a room on a hot night is to hang laundry up to dry. If you can ignore the dripping sounds, then it makes the room a good 5-10 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. That is dang good incentive for me to do laundry more often as the days get hotter.
It has the added benefit of entrancing kittens. They must've spent a good half hour just sitting there and watching my clothes drip.

Okay well... :(
Last Monday I had made a special time with this really nice lady to teach me how to sew. I was really excited. But with work and being busy 24/7 I just didn't have the time to get the supplies, and I woke up at 9AM that day (class is from 10-1) and it'd just be me and her and I told her the worst thing ever... I told her that my brother had died:eek:
It just came out.. like it came out.. oh god it came out like nothing. Like a sneeze.
Then this morning after another crazy weekend I had everything ready but Rachel was not co-operating with me so early in the morning. I was on my way out with her and then it happened. She fell. Busted her knees and scraped them on the cement. There was no way it was going to be a pleasant day today. So I called her and told her... that maybe next weekend would be better after everything has calmed down.
:(
I feel like such a douche bag

If anyone on this forum has never told a lie, a whopper, then they can yell at you all they want, if they want. I will just sit in the corner remembering the time I told someone that I had to go to the hospital in order to get out of going on a date with him.
I may have told him that it was fatal.
Sigh.

Hahaha yea, human. The biggest thing is that you actually feel bad for doing it. It's those people that lie and don't feel bad that are the real bums.
I once told an employer that my grandfather had died to get out of work. He had already passed on, but my boss was such a nice guy he even gave me compassionate pay. Talk about guilty conscious for a VERY long time!

Guilt is a wasted emotion. If I ever feel too guilty about something, I fess up, but the small things, and in the long run this is a small thing, I don't waste my time feeling guilt. She has no idea you lied, only you know, so learn, live, move on. The end. :)

You could start with 'joe' nice guy but a little eccentric, likes jig saw puzzels and lives in a hut.
Twin sisters, macy and marcy, live together, never married, pretty much stay by them selfves.
Younger sister,8 children, very fertile, lives happily with her two husbands in bora bora.

Speaking of faking deaths, I do remember some hoopla a long time ago about a member that faked her own death, and that of her daughters.
I don't know her name, let's call her Bob. Bob was before my time, but I did hear about it. Apparently Bob was well liked, and one day she posted, pretending to be a friend, stating that Bob and Bob's young daughter were killed in a car accident.
Later it all came out that it was a lie, told for no reason at all.
Bob was banned.
That's all I know. Like I said, before my time.
Killing yourself off isn't a good lie. Stick to Uncle Joe the jigsaw guy. ;)

Ya, I found it a bit odd when I heard about it. What's the point in fake killing yourself, and then adding your child too? Serious issues there.
Also, if you're doing it for attention, well hello, you're supposedly dead, no attention for you. ;)
Thankfully this was before my time, but there has been plenty of drama and lies on this site. Oh the stories I could tell.
Maybe I should write a book, then change my name and hide. ;)
