Which part are you trying to clean? Brick or mortar? What are you trying to clean from it?

Depending on what's on them, it may not be possible to 'clean' them. Bricks are porous, so they stain fairly easily. If they've darkened over time, them it's probably staining from pollution, and there's really no easy way to clean them. There may be chemicals that could clean them, like an acid wash, but I don't imagine it'd be cheap or easy.
If there's just mud or something on them, then a hose and a scrub brush will remove it.

As everyone said: Depends on what's on them
1. Pressure washing
2. Bleach, TSP and water for mold, algae
3. Muratic acid or Drylock etch for mortar
(don't get it on the windows)
For really stubborn stuff I've used and angle grinder with a wire brush and even a Dremel tool with a wire brush. Used it for paint drippings, overspray and splashed tar. As I said, for really nasty stuff.

U can try "brite brick" for general cleaning mold and algae.
Can get at most big box stores.
